I used to buy The Republic of Tea "Double Green Matcha Tea" at Whole Foods but after learning to look for organic, ceremonial grade matcha, I bought Matcha Sense. And what struck me was how Matcha Sense tea had much greener, brighter, deeper color! So, I stuck with it and have been using it for a few years now.I make my anti-cancer tea that includes 10oz warm water, squeeze of half a lemon, good shake of ginger powder and a sprinkle of cayenne, and then 1/2 teaspoon of Matcha Sense. Expect to go to the bathroom often for the next hour, as your kidneys are getting a wild cleanse, lol!

I’m not a matcha expert by any means but I do have to say this is really smooth and tasty matcha. Much better than what I’ve had at a popular coffee shop. I make this matcha everyday with oat milk and vanilla syrup. Delicious!

This is the third matcha I’ve purchased. The first one was Jade Leaf ($50 for 100g), which is thus far my favorite. Then I bought the PureChimp ceremonial matcha for $23/100g, and that was very disappointing. Very light color, light and slightly fishy flavor. The Matcha Sense was a return to what I find to be a much more enjoyable drinking experience.

Perfect color, perfect texture. Super fresh. Tastes AMAZING. Best of all, this is the best value for quality matcha that I have come across. My daily matcha fix. Can’t live without it! Highly recommend. I keep repurchasing over and over. I do recommend keeping it in an air tight container since after a while when I reach the bottom of the bag it is not as fresh. 100% LOVE

I bought this twice. Once a few years back and recently just in October 2024. I’m sad to report that it just doesn’t taste the same. There’s been a matcha shortage from what I understand, so I’m not surprised if something like their sourcing has changed, but sadly I don’t think I will return to this brand. It was truly a favorite of mine and I told everyone I knew about it because of its ease of access purchasing it online and the affordability. Before, a tiny amount created amazing rich flavor—what sold me on ceremonial matcha! This new batch, I use 2-3 tablespoons and the flavor is just not there. It’s not horrible, I will finish it. But for ceremonial this is not great quality and the quality decline has been very obvious to me.

I was never really a fan of matcha until a barista friend of mine told me that I probably hadn’t had high quality matcha. He made me a matcha latte and I’ve been hooked since. At the beginning of the year I decided I should start making them at home. I did a lot of research and after trying multiple brands at multiple price points I landed on matcha sense. It’s definitely ceremonial quality, and I don’t have to sift it! The flavor is divine/scent is divine as well.As someone who suffers from IBS & GERD, even if I have just one cup of coffee a day my stomach still suffers over time. I can drink multiple cups of matcha a day with no tummy problems. I’m also super sensitive to caffeine & matcha just doesn’t give me any anxiety. It’s amazing and I never would have imagined I could have anxiety-free energy.One pouch of matcha sense lasts me a month(and that’s even having multiple matchas a day + making some for my husband every so often).Matcha sense is worth every penny. Looking forward to continuing enjoying drinking it ! :)
