Surprisingly good. Was skeptical coming from Amazon. Great product with great packaging. I’ve seen more expensive swords with fitment not even close to as tight as this sword.

Some of the best quality production swords under $200 available, hamons are active and prominent, leather wrap is done well, saya is good, even the fittings are decent. I have purchased 3 swords from this seller so far. Some of these look better than $500+ offerings from other sellers. I have owned more than 20 chinese-made modern production katanas in my life including Cheness, Musashi, and Hanwei - and Murasame swords are better in almost every way. The one with a Suguha hamon is downright incredible, it looks like a Citadel or modern Nihonto, and somehow is beefy as heck but doesn't feel overly heavy. The only downside to them being this pretty is I don't want to damage them by cutting anything with them! Minor gripes - no geometric yokote and bo-hi termination is typical for a production katana, also on the unokubi zukuri the hamon gets a bit shallow in places. For the price though, from what I've seen these are some of the best production swords available on the internet, and Amazon makes ordering secure and convenient. Thanks Murasame!

The wakizashi I purchased is exactly as pictured, and after an evening of inspectimg it for any imperfections or flaws, I can't honestly say I found any. The whole weapon is made flawlessly, and quality is emanating from every single part. This is an insanely good sword, let alone for the decent price. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Sword is cool, i keep it close in my room it makes me feel safer. It handles well. Have not made practice cuts with it but it seems sturdy.Removed the string for belt attachement and the wooden piece that holds the string broke off the sheath easily. It doesnt bother me because i dont wear the sword at my hip, also the notch in the sheath left when that wooden piece came off is a nice grip for pulling sword out, which has a perfect fit it takes enough pressure im not worried the sword will easily slip out. Thx

Sword is put together very well. Tsuba is solid. The leather wrap on the tsuka is tight and does not budge when pushed on. Mekugi pegs are placed on the proper side. Sword is straight. Sageo is thick and appears to be made of high quality material. Saya is perfectly snug when sheathed. The fittings are of mid grade quality but very well assembled. It does have a hamon but I haven’t done any cutting test to see if the blade retains an edge or not. It came sharp but not razor sharp.

A lot of the other sword firms should take lessons from Murasame. I was impressed with the quality and attention to detail of my sword right out of the box. What you expect from a new purchase. 👍👍👍One thing I almost left out. It’s very sharp, right out of the box as a katana/wakizashi should be. No sissy blade here!!!
