No they are too thick only an 80 count carousel

Q: How do you actually mount a 35mm photo into the slide mounts? is there a glue used? is the size of the mounts 2 x 2 inches (5cm x 5cm)?

100 slide mounts, 5 x 5 cm, glass-less, 2mm thick, of top quality, for slides 24 x 36 mm.

Q: Will these fit a gaf 1680 carousel?

They should, they're a standard 35mm size, the only consideration is thickness. I don't know how wide the openings are in your carousel are. These are about twice as thick as a standard Kodak slide mount if that helps any. Try fitting 2 slides in a single hole in your carousel and also your slide projector carrier to see if they fit, If they do, then these will work just fine.
