Gold BJJ Womens Aeroweave Jiu Jitsu Gi - Ultra Lightweight BJJ Gi for Women

First gi I've ever worn that feels like I belong in it. It is comfortable, and feels like a business suit of a gi because it actually fits.Ive always felt a little out of place wearing gis because they don't fit me as well as they fit the guys. In other gis, I feel like a kid wearing hand-me-down clothes that are too big and baggy. This gi fits like it was made for me!I love the simple design with the contrast stitching. It looks sharp and doesn't scream RESPEKT WAMAN. I just want to feel like I belong, I don't want to stand out in a pink gi.Also it really is super lightweight so I look forward to trying it on hot days.

Overall: comfort and durability- This seems to be a great lightweight gi. My daughter absolutely loves it.Sizing: 5'0 and below the F1 seems to be good if you are taller or have longer limbs I recommend sizing up by 1.Size experience: We ordered the F1 first for my daughter who is 5'1 and 85lbs and thought it looked a bit short in the legs and arms. She also stated that it felt uncomfortable at the inseam. It fit me very nicely at 5'0 and 98lbs.We also ordered the F2 for comparison and it fit her better while also giving her a little room to grow as well. The length for the pants lands right above her ankle and the top covers her wrist but doesn't go past the bottom of her palm. It is longer on her torso covering the bottom and looks roomy but not too much so when closed.Movement and durability will be updated after wearing during training, competition and washing.My 2 cents for what its worth....if you are just training, rolling, or competing in non-IBJJF comps I wouldn't be too concerned with the length of the Gi (get the size stated from the sizing guide) but for IBJJF competitions go a size up...they are very particular about the max length above ankles and wrist and min distance in the gap between the wrist and the gi all the way up to the shoulder.

I ordered black but was sent white. Quality is good, light and had minimal aesthetics. Fits true to size. Customer service is 5 star though.

Love this lightweight gi for when the studio is hot and I'm trying not to overheat. I'm 5'6 1/2" and 140lbs and the F3 fits me pretty well. The top is perfect (a better fit than my heavier WarTribe); the pants are a tad bit short, but this gi is just for training so I don't mind. This gi has been a lifesaver this summer.

I ordered based on the size chart - in fact I ordered larger than I thought I would need. I had to shimmy to get these pants over my hips - way too snug and no way I was grappling, let along bending over in these. The top fit okay, but even that was a tad too small - one wash and it probably would not have been okay. I have a small bust but for someone more 'gifted' in that area it may be a problem.That said, if you can find a size that works for you, this gi is super light-weight as it states. I can image it's breathable and it looks sharp on. I'm not 100% convinced this was cut for a woman - especially the pants. My thought is that the hip/thigh area just doesn't work in this - it's just cut way too slim, especially if you are someone that does any kind of weight training and has more muscle in that area. So the overall rating of 3 starts is more based on fit as I don't feel it will work for a vast array of women's bodies.

I'm kinda hard to fit . I'm 5ft tall 135-138 pounds depending on the day . Thicker base but semi muscular build with a smaller chest. ( I purchased a f2) I have bought SO many gi's trying to find one that fits . All have fallen short. Until this GI. It fits me perfectly in all the right places. I'm very short and the pants hit my ankles perfectly and the pants are more fitted instead of excessively loose and baggy. The sleeves hit me as they should. I FINALLY look like I'm not swimming in my GI . I will be buying more! Probably one in every color . Thank you for making a gi actually fit for women ! Not only is the fit amazing it is probably the most comfortable gi I own because of the soft but strong material. Do your self a favor and just buy it !

Updated review: I ordered the EXACT same size as last time, which on the chart is wayyyy off from my size, but the f3 fits me so I ordered f3 in black. Now it’s gigantic!! I’ve never seen such inconsistent and wrong sizing charts in my life. It makes me not want to buy from this brand because you can never count on getting the right size. Now I have to return it AGAIN. and I don’t know whether to get an F2 or an f1, it’s so confusing it just makes me want to quit. It’s not worth the hassle.The is a wonderful Gi, but the sizing is so unbelievably wrong it makes it so frustrating to buy. Based on the chart I should be an f1… I went up a size just in case it shrinks in the wash and it would barely go over my thighs!!!!! Had to reorder an F3, and it’s still tight!! This is ridiculous. I don’t understand how their size chart can be so unbelievably wrong. I’m 5’4” and 140lbs yet I’m buying the go for something 200lbs?! Really need to rethink the size chart. It’s like the whole chart is a typo or something.

I ordered this gi for my wife for Christmas. She loved the fit of it but she said some of the stitching ripped in the pants the first time she wore it to class. I contacted Gold BJJ and they were extremely helpful with getting a replacement.I don’t want to sound obscene, but if your wife has an incredible backside then consider ordering a size larger than what she normally might wear.Overall, she says it’s very lightweight, soft, and (I think) it looks great.
