Q: Is this suitable for whiskey?

I personally would not put Whisky in a wine decanter as Whisky does not need aerating. You will get a lot of evaporation by putting whisky in this decanter due to the stopper not being air tight. I personally leave my whisky in their own bottles. Its entirely up to you though. If you think your whisky looks nice in it then why not. You might need to finish your Whisky quickly in this which is always a positive.

Q: Just started to get into nice wines and wanted to use one of these. How long would you leave a wine in this before drinking?

Putting it in the decanter passes air through it enhancing the flavour, leave it to warm to room temp. Often leave red wine in the decanter for 3-4 days and its still fine

Q: Does the oak stopper keep the wine fresh overnight if I don't manage to finish the bottle?

Yes I've always found that it does, as long as the wine is kept in a relatively cool place (ie. not in the sun). Interestingly some wines tasted even better the next day.

Q: Does this come boxed?

Yes! Big box with polystyrene packaging to protect it fully.I keep mine in the box when not in use - but it's nice presentation for a gift too.Thin glass but really attractive, I've very happy with mine
