White Hinge Limited Black Antique Window Casement Fastener - Cast Iron Monkey Tail Mortice Latch

I had to replace existing window casement Latches on a set of old windows in a house. The house is over 100 years old, and the Monkey tail design is in keeping with that age building. The Latches were easy to fit and were finished in black so set off the look of the latch against the white window. The latches were well made, finished off to a high standard and were well made.

Item arrived a day early and I wasn't in. Just left on my door mat and not with my neighbour as a safe place. What is the point of having a safe place?! And there's no way of reporting it any more. Awful service by Amazon.The product however is great. It looks really good and I would definitely buy it again just not on Amazon.

A perfect match for the other window fittings, but as stated the method in how the handle is fixed could be better.

Okay, so I bought three of these. Two are in a locations where they are not used (they were replaced for aesthetic reasons) but one was in a room where the window was opened a few times over last summer. The handle just dropped off. Because it had hardly had any use, I asked if the company would like to inspect the faulty goods and decide whether to repair or replace. They initially just declined but when I quoted the Consumer Rights Act, they maintained that they had no responsibility after 6 months. The integrity of the handle depends on a small washer held on by the metal beyond it being expanded; it just slipped off. I bought a replacement from them; let's see how well it does...

Better than most as the monkey tail handle has a universal joint, which is very useful. Well cast & finished, slot head screws could be better, but better ones are available. Delivered on time & well packaged so no damage. V Good.
