Haircolor Medium Ash Brown - 5C (2 oz color 2 oz developer)

I’ve been using this product for over 15 years, since, other, over the counter products irritate and infect my scalp. I’ve had no problems and happy with this product all these years.

I like this product and I do not agree that it has a strong chemical smell. It produces a dark ash blond for me, but I was happy with that. I have a PPD allergy and I am happy that this product exists.

I wished I could give it zero stars...one word for this product...HORRIBLE!

I saw the reviews said there was some chemically smell....um, it was intensely strong. I almost couldn't breathe the smell was so strong. I question how "natural" it is with that smell, it's not just a stinky smell. It's got a chemical smell that is putrid. I bought two and mixed them so my hair wouldn't have a red tint and the color was lovely, but the price and the smell? I won't be buying again.

Directions are sketchy and incomplete - I am allergic to hair dyes so I purchased this because it had a wide range color pallette - however it did not work at all - I followed the directions and it lightened my hair not darkened it. My roots stand out more than ever. Not worth the money. I have used another product Palette by Nature that works much better - however the colors are limited.

This is the only hair color I have tried that I am not allergic to. I have tried a slew of others and I get big lumps on my head. I am so glad I finally found one that works. The grey coverage is not all that great with this product, need to leave it on at least 45 mins for greys, but at least I am not allergic to it. I highly recommend this product if you are sensitive to other hair color products.

I don't have gray hair. I was just trying to go from dark brown to a little lighter shade of brown. I didn't have any previous color on my hair. I followed the instructions to a T. I ended up with light orange hair. Was it the "ash" color? I don't know. I had to put on a hat and go get some traditional color to fix it. Terrible.

This was a great improvement over the typical store bought colorings but for me not as good as Palette by Nature. Granted, it is easier to use since it has the chemical needed to avoid using heat, but i ended up opting for heat and a product (Palette by Nature)that can cover (yea!!) the red left in my hair from a natural coloring that must have had henna in it.
