304 Stainless Steel Ball Valve - Full Port - 1,000 WOG (PSI) Heavy Duty for Water, Oil, and Gas with Blue Locking Handles, NPT

I found this ball valve to be a perfect addition onto my brew kettle (keggle). I had a stainless steel nipple welded into the base of the kettle and this was then attached to that. This valve has held up extremely well (going on a year and several batches of beer brewed. All the parts appear very sturdy and show little to no wear. Sometimes ball valves are known to have loose handles over time, but it has stayed tight. Also, it is very easy to clean with a small nylon brush (avoid any abrasive brush that may scratch the stainless and potentially causing it to rust over time or grow a bacteria in the imperfection.Although it certainly makes sense, the safety lock that keeps the ball valve from opening without lifting the safety is a little annoying as on several occasions I have needed to open the valve while there was something in my other hand made it a little more challenging. This is of course a very minor concern as it again provides a safety feature. I went ahead and removed it as I felt it was not needed for my application.Overall, a great product that I would buy again for this application or others.

This is great valve. The ones (1/2 blue) I bought were made of 316 stainless steel. Superior built quality. You can use it anywhere. With its high pressure rating and wide temperature range, there is no need to worry about leak or freezing or hot gas/fluid anymore.If you think the valve is too tight out of box, please note that the initial tightness indicates good seal quality. You want the valve to be tight out of factory. But you don't want it too tight on pipes, otherwise turning it may put too much stress on the pipes and fittings. So, you need to break it in before you connect it to pipes. Just hold it in your hand when you are watching TV or chatting and keep twisting the handle on-off-on-off. After maybe a few hundred times, it will be smooth and easy. BTW, it is a great exercise for your wrists and arms.If you feel that the locking sleeve is bothering you by getting in the way, you can simply tape the sleeve at its highest rest position to keep it from falling into locking position. Most of the times I don't need the locking mechanism. But occasionally the locking sleeve could be very useful to prevent accidental shutoff or opening.I highly recommend this product.

These work fine so far. Use them to replace more expensive gauges on outdoor industrial equipment. Accuracy is ok, and they appear to be well made.

This gauge is exactly as advertised works like a charm on my dodge ram 5.9 aftermarket aluminum fuel filter housing cap machined with pipe thread port for tank supply pump pressure I just mounted it permanently so I can check supply pressure anytime

I have three of these on my home brewing rig (one on the brew kettle, one on the pump, and one on the water side of the counter flow chiller). I was expecting to pay more, and did in fact see many competitor valves that cost twice a s much or more. These valves are good quality and a great value. I have run 5 batches through my new system and these valves are performing flawlessly. No leaks and they open and close smoothly. If you are in the market for valves, I highly recommend these!

It should be noted that the valve pictured is no what I received. The valve I have does not have the sliding piece on the lever near the nut. This effectively prevents the valve from being opened or closed accidentally. That said, I do not see that it will be a problem with accidental movement because it is so tight that I cannot even move it. I loosened the nut and that didn't do anything. Unfortunately, I have to return this item as it is a dud. Unless I am missing something here, I cannot see how this is supposed to turn at all. I submitted a couple of photos to reflect the item pictured is not quite what I got.Update: I attempted to return the product to Duda Energy and they declined without me paying a 15% restocking fee. AVOID THIS SELLER AT ALL COSTS. The seller wants me to believe that excessive force is necessary with these valves. Well, I own two others and that is a lie. Not to mention this item isn't as pictured, but yet the seller maintains these valves are tight. I took it in to have it looked at by a local home brew supply shop and they said it was stuck. They said to return it and get a Nother because this fell does not function the way that should. So now I'm stuck with a valve that doesn't work and a piss poor seller who couldn't care less. They aren't worth my time to return for a 15% restocking fee either.

Used in homebrew application with near zero pressure. Valve operation is firm but not too tight, and is right on par with valves from other sources. I like the locking slide ring to prevent accidental opening from being bumped. The machining and threads were good quality and I would order again without hesitation.. I have ordered 2 to date

Totally awesome. Exactly the ball valve I needed for my 26 gallon WelXTrol water tank which holds my Reverse Osmosis water. Sometimes, due to a leak elsewhere in the system or due to needed maintenance, I need to shut the tank supply off. This works perfectly and is a complete seal. Easy to operate valve handle, nice sliding locking mechanism. Way to do DuraChoice, I'll be buying another one for my next project!
