My son was taking around an hour and a half to eat his breakfast in the mornings before school, which drove me mad. When I was a kid in the 70's, adults would scream at you and give you a clip around the ear to remind you to get on with things, but that sort of treatment is just not acceptable, so I had to come up with an alternative.I got this and put it in front of him the next morning, told him he had until the sand ran out to finish his breakfast and, to my surprise, it worked! Brilliant!If someone had thought of making oversized egg timers when I was younger, I would probably be able to hear much better than I do now and my left ear would be the same size as my right.

I bought this itwm for a young man that cant tell the time and couldnt sit still in my session because it was always a question of how long now? This sand timer is fantastic i have his full attention now for the whole twenty minutes. Need to buy the half hour one next.

Very good for kids who can’t tell time, we have them in a number of different times. We use the 20 minute one for dinner, to allow kids to know when they need to be finishing eating.
