Can you use the insects caught on the paper to feed a Venus flytrap?

Venus fly traps need live flys I’m afraid. If you use a dead fly and manually trigger the trap the dead fly will rot the head because they need the movement of the struggling victim to properly digest it :(

Is this really cruel?

It’s not cruel it’s a waste of money it didn’t work

It is REALLY sticky, I wouldn't say it was waterproof. It would loose its stickiness
