I’ve seen the other reviews of the lid floating. Mine didn’t float. Also you do NOT want to completely submerge it under water. Because I realized when it was completely under water. Lid did not float up. But my fish was under the lid. Once I raised the tank. I realized my fish wasn’t trying to swim under the lid. Sorry for the long rant. But great product. Easy to use. And I’m hoping to see babies/ fry’s soon!

The media could not be loaded. The Boxteck Fish Tank Incubator, Hatchery and Breeding Box works great for keeping the fish separated. It is super easy to set up and put together, as well as use for the tank. It's a thinner and transparent material which is nice but you have to be careful when removing the suction cups. I used it to acclimated my new fish to the bigger tank and it worked great. I feel it's a great purchase if your looking to separate your fish to get them use to each other with new introductions.

Functions how it should. However, this product is extremely small. Could work for small snails, nano fish, or shrimp. Is too small for most live bearers. The suction is good and is easy to place into the aquarium. The material is strong and well made.

It still works for the purpose that I intend to use it for, but the sizing is incorrect so beware it also came with scratches and a chip in the seam part. It does fit nicely in my daughter’s five gallon guppy tank. Currently using for guppy fry until they get old enough to be in the same tank as the adults.

If you are into the fish hobby and love to breed the live bearers, this is a great buy. I bought 2 of these and they work great. It protects the momma while she's giving birth from the other fish and the babies go down to the bottom of the box protecting them as well.
