Can this be modified to attach a chain?

Can this be used with a sloped ceiling?

I can't for the life of me figure out how to shorten the wire for the length of the pendant. Anyone know how to do this?

If it’s only a short amount, you might be able to stuff it in the electrical box. Otherwise you’ll have to cut the cord to desired length.
