This is a sturdy switch that will end my semi-annual replacement of bilge switches. I hope. The technology is simple and worked in clean water in my tests. It successfully drains my oily bilge to about 1/2" with a Rule pump and hasn't failed in 5 months.Note that others have said that the company is a stickler for rules for the warranty. I returned the card by post (??? what century is it??) AND kept a copy on my phone. I also used the indicated connectors high and dry in the bilge, though I would rather have soldered them. One plus I didn't see in the description is a green LED that tells me the unit is powered and ready to pump when necessary. Of course I'll be checking my bilge less often with this beauty in place...

I had a similar negative experience after having two of these pumps fail. At first the owner of the company told me these switches never fail. I was then told they had failed because they had sat underwater. Although the function of the switch was to prevent them and the rest of the compartments from being under water. The owner of the company was rather rude on the phone. I did replace the switches as they are better than other switches that I have seen. However if there was a comparable product sold by another company I would have brought that product instead.

This is the best and most reliable pump switch I have found. A friend who is a harbor pilot and owns a boat yard recommended it to me. I am on my second sailboat and I just installed my 2nd "Ultra Safety Systems Pump Switch Sr." and I never had a problem in the 11 years I had my first switch. The typical bilge float switch can hang up leaving your pump running constantly. That is what happened on my 2nd sailboat and today I installed my new one. I sincerely do not believe you can find a more trouble free pump switch.

This does not work. We did not find out until it was too late to return it. Now we are stuck with a non working piece of junk. It's hooked up correctly but the whole thing is a dud. The company should send a replacement or let me exchange it. If I could give zero stars I would. What's worse is that this is for a boat we use for a non-profit veterans organization.

This is a very expensive switch. I thought it was a complete unit withheld bilge pump. I works well but over priced for what it is.

The switch is well-made. However, the company does not stand by their warranty.. When I purchased mine it came with a lifetime warranty. When it failed they would not replace it even though I had the original documentation and serial number. "We can't replace switches that are that old" they told me. Not sure what Lifetime warranty means then. Though I like the switch, it left a bad taste dealing with the dishonesty of the warranty.

If you’ve suffered through multiple untimely failures of Rule Super Switches since they had to stop using mercury in their switches, you’re going to LOVE this switch. Mounts right onto my Rule 2000 bilge pumps. Wiring is plug & play. Yes, it costs more than a Rule Super switch, but when you need it - when you’re on the water or not at your boat when you start taking on water - it won’t let you down like the Rule float switches.
