Broadway Gifts 5 Inch Brown Wood Violin Ornament Decoration

A very nice wood ornament that looks just like a real violin. The strings will even make a small noise when you pluck them (be careful though). I don't know if it has varnish on it, but it is shiny like a real violin, too. It's very lightweight and will hang from a tree without causing the branch to sag. I plan to find someplace to hang it year-round. It would be nice if it came with a bow since violins come with bows, but even so it is a very impressive ornament. It's not a solid painted piece like some other violin ornaments, but rather it appears to be assembled just like a real violin. It's completely hollow on the inside, so I think it is made from separate front, back and side pieces that are glued together. It even has real f-holes. The neck appears to be a separate piece that is attached to the body, and it has a hollowed out peg box with holes for the pegs. The pegs, fingerboard, chin rest and tailpiece are all black plastic and are attached on top of the wood pieces. The metal strings are even wound around the pegs on one end and the tailpiece on the other. The bridge is actually a separate piece of wood and is mounted in a small hole between the f-holes. All these separate pieces make for a beautifully detailed ornament and it's almost like literally having the world's smallest violin.

My Husband and I purchase Christmas ornaments for each other every year. We give them to each other when we set up the Christmas Tree together. This was the ornament my Husband got me this year, because it reminded him of me because I play the Violin. I love this ornament! It was perfect and looks so good on the tree! It is good quality and doesn't look super cheap like a lot of other ornaments you can get. It's light so it doesn't weigh the tree down and makes the branches on the tree droop. The length of the string to hang it on the tree is perfect, not to long and not to short. It is good material and seems to be pretty heavy duty. The violin measures about 5 inches tall. I posted a picture of it here next to a measuring tape. Overall I am super happy with this purchase. I am glad to have it.

This was a gift for a friend and I was pleased to give it to her. She loved it. It is a perfect little miniature violin! Just looks like it got shrunk! I only got to look at it for a short time before I wrapped it to gift it but it looked like good quality. It was wooden. Had little strings. Seriously looked like little violin. The only thing it didn't have was the bow. I was very pleased with it and would buy it again. It was delivered quickly too.

My violin ornament was supposed to arrive on Saturday, but it did not arrive until Tuesday. I did receive an email apologizing for the delay. and I was able to track its location through the email. It arrived in great shape and I am quite sure my granddaughter will love the authentic looking ornament with a chin rest, 4 strings, and even tuning knobs. It is about 5 inches long.

I bought this ornament for my granddaughter who plays the violin. It is very well made, nice craftsmanship.
