Great trickle charger. I have several of these for my cars that sit in the garage most of the time. They sit and maintain the batteries sometimes for up to a year. I’ve never had a single problem with this brand.Highly recommend recommended

I have kept 5 of these in constant use for many years. I install them on my seasonal vehicles, mower, tractor, and generator. In my experience, they greatly increase the battery life, so they are well worth the cost. They always keep the batteries properly maintained without overcharging. They are essential for anything stored outside in my cold northern New England winters. It's so reassuring to know that everything I have with electric start is always ready to go when I turn the key, no matter the temperature or how long it has been since it was last used!These maintainers do have one flaw that reoccurs in every single one of the many chargers I've owned. After a few years of use, the cord always frays and/or breaks immediately where the wire comes out of the charger. Once this happens the charger becomes unsafe as the cord will short out. I contacted Schumacher about this problem a few years ago, but the design remains the same. If it wasn't for this issue, these units would absolutely deserve a 5 star rating. Despite this shortcoming, I continue to buy them because they work so well!

I've had to call AAA twice during this pandemic shut-in to get a jump start. Each time, after the AAA tech confirmed that my 2 year old battery was "good, just discharged", I was able to hook up this little charger and restore the charge completely. Of course, that took about 18 hours each time, but I expected as much because I had read the specs. I have not tried the "maintainer" option.It's so small that it easily fits under the closed hood. All you do is attach the clamps to the battery poles and then connect the other (plug) end to your extension cord. There's a couple-second delay before the status lights come on, so once you see the red (or yellow) light appear you can close the hood because this gadget is so small that it easily fits under there. Its software supposedly will prevent overcharging, so the second time I used it, I just let it work for a full day without monitoring it and came back to the green "all-clear" light.

In my opinion these are the best maintainers on the market!!!! I have several of these, I use them on my boat, tractor, lawnmower they last & work great, NO DEAD OR WEAK BATTERIES 👍👍

These work great and last years. I have bought several of them from here.

Did not work out of the box. I had stored this battery charger until needed. Too long a time has past to return it.
