Hibiclens– Antimicrobial, Antiseptic Soap and Skin Cleanser 8oz for Home Hospital 4% CHG

I discovered Hibiclens during Covid. Like everyone else I was having trouble finding any kind of hand sanitizer. I managed to find a gallon jug of Hibiclens here on Amazon. I purchased a jug out of desperation as my partner is immune compromised and I have an elderly mother (85 at the time). I have been showering with it ever since. ***Disclaimer It does say not to use it for a prolonged time on larger bodily areas. I continued to use it as I discovered it was shrinking skin tags I have on my neck (and a few other areas). So it has been awhile and the skin tags continue to shrink (albeit very slowly) but the bonus is I have had no new ones form. I also work in a residential setting around individuals of all ages and walks of life. Recently a bad stomach bug and several flu strains went around at the same time. Residents and staff were all sick multiple times within just a month from the various strains. I did not lose a single day of work, never got sick and never transferred any germs to family at home. I can’t prove it has to do with the Hibiclens but I am pretty sure it does have everything to do with why I did not get sick. Previously working in a child care setting I was constantly getting sick from all the bugs that went around so I know I am not immune. I don’t use it on my entire body, just my hands, neck, chest and arms. I purchase the gallon size and transfer into the smaller bottles (like this one) for portability.

I love this stuff. They use this in hospitals. It's highly effective. And if you are in perimenopause or menopause and you are starting to notice that your pH is changing.. use this in your underarms couple times a week.. it cuts down on bacteria and helps even things out. I also think it's good to keep a bottle in the kitchen especially if you are a chef or you handle meat. Great value for money, will repurchase.

This was actually a good cleanser., I got this for my daughter who's now a teenager and she really likes it. It's refreshing, nurturing and creamy. She's been using it a while and even asked me for another. I remember being self conscious about acne and my face, so I was glad for this product. 5 stars for sure.

Perfect use at home before surgery. Was easy to use, had a clean smell, and did not irritate skin.

I got this product for a very specific purpose and not one of the original uses when it was created, I wager. I had read on line about people using this to combate body oder/under arm oder when normal deoderants and antiperspirants don't work. I used it for several days straight and was delighted! It worked! I didn't smell anything under my arms. But then the smell crept back. (It was not from the smell being stuck in clothing fabric....I have a whole slue of things I do to fight any oder there after each wear.) I think it may be a tolerance build up, though I have no way to prove that. Now I use this every 5 or 6 days to help deepen my clean without over use. I use a bensoyl peroxide soap on all the other days. This is my best solution thus far, and believe me, I have tried it all. I hope this helps someone who is looking for a product to help with this specific need.

This stuff is great. I use it because I get random abscesses on my body, and washing with this stuff just once makes them go away within a couple days. Also helps cuts and burns heal super quick.

This is an excellent product for everyday use. Hospitals recommended this prior to surgery. Good price for product.
