Way better than expected. It inflates firmly and gave me my best sleep while camping
I hate spending a ton of money on an inflatable camping mattress, because they never last forever and they see limited use. I use them maybe 10-12 nights per year. The first night I tried this in a tent (in my backyard, just for fun), I had my best night of sleep in a tent, ever. It inflates quickly and can be made fairly firm, which I love. The head is slightly elevated, which makes up for the thin camping pillows I usually use. It feels sturdy and packs down small. What a great value

Bulky but very comfortable
My brother and I both own the 3 inch sleeping pads, which we fly up to Alaska for our fishing trips. The pad is comfortable, easy to inflate, holds the air well, and is rugged enough to hold up to the abuse we've laid on it. edit: adding in that we're both 6'2 and about 240, and we fit comfortably on these pads.It does have some downsides - it is very bulky, so if you're flying somewhere with it, I recommend a hiking pack or something of the sort so you can attach it to the outside of the pack. I originally flew it in my old army duffel bag and it took about about half of the bag. It also never self inflates completely, I always have to goose the last 15-20% manually. And the main reason for this being a 4 star is the bag it came in ripped the first time I tried to put the pad back in it, I ended up having to buy a Coghlan's stuff bag (the 14x30 bag).

Still undecided if I really like it.
Update 10/26/22- So I’ve decided it’s junk. If I could change to zero stars I would. After only a short time it fails to get any better than 1 1/2” thick. Uncomfortable as can be, and everytime you move it makes noise, And you need to move a lot because it’s so uncomfortable The last two nights camping were awful in the sleep and comfort departments. Guess because it’s less than half full. Total waste of money!! Save yours and shop for something better! So it arrived folded up in a box. Unfolded and opened valve. And waited. And waited and waited. Nothing happened. Yes valve was totally open. After several hours it was maybe 3/4” thick. Less than impressed. So I decided to blow it up manually and close the valve. This seemed to help. Was no where near the stated thickness. Next day I let air out and rolled it up and opened it several times. Seems the foam inside liked that. Kind of loosened it up. I’ve used it for 4 night of camping on two different trips. Last trip it self inflated fairly well, still needed some help from my lungs. Size is good. It’s more comfortable than the ground. I’m a side sleeper and was able to get comfortable for the most part. It did arrive with a weird stain in the middle of the pad, just a darker area. Doesn’t seem to effect any thing. I’ll use it a few more times before making a final determination if I like it or not. It’s definitely not small when rolled up. Fits back in the bag which is a plus. If I had the room I would leave it unrolled and just roll it up to take camping. I think that would let the foam maybe expand easier/faster. For now it’s not rolled tight, just kinda folded up some. Will see if that helps faster self inflation. When rolling it up open valve, fold several times and push what ever air out you can. Close plug. Unfold and start rolling tight. When almost to the end open valve to allow air out, finish rolling and put plug in. Will slide right into bag.Happy Camping.

Great thickness
Update: 10/28/20:... Yup it did its job! Worked wonderfully for outdoor camping, did not feel hard floor, rocks, nor tree roots on ground. But will defintely need you own pillows. Wish this could come as a double, for 2 people. We bought 2 mats, but wouldn't stay together, but it was no problem. Will still keep this at 5 stars for thickness. It has its trick to fully inflate all the way, just put your mind to work ****Looks and feels thick enough for outdoor camping. I'm 5'8" , 180 lbs and no other camping mats feel comfortable like this one. I believe we won't feel rocks, bumps, or tree roots on ground when we take it camping next week... But so far, material seems great quality and feels sturdy, almost feels like out tempur- pedic bed. Really fast self inflating in less than 30 seconds. We are loving it. ... I will give an update on how they holded up when we go on our trip next week

Decent pad at a good price
I had really high hopes for this pad. I loved the length and width, good thickness when inflated, and lightweight. Exactly what I needed for my backpacking trip. Saving quite a bit of money over name brand pads of similar size and weight seemed like a good plan. Until it leaked. Can’t find a hole, but about every 2 hours I’m flat on the ground despite having taken great care to have removed anything near it that could puncture it while camping. Not sure if by making it so lightweight, the fabric is just too susceptible to abrasion or puncture or what.Additionally, I would say this is the loudest pad I have owned. Every movement I made was a noisy affair. One other issue I had was after the first night I inflated (with its really easy to use pump system) and packed away, the next time I tried to inflate it, the outlet from pump into the pad chambers was blocked or pinched. This continued every use out packing for the day. I had to spend a bit of time loosening and rearranging the pad fabric near the pump to get any air out and into the pad.
