Don’t buy Home Depot Crap!! Buy this!!!!’nn
You got dead patches or if you’re like me spray the crap out if the weeds but also kill your grass?? Buy a bag of this!!! There’s no fillers like the Home Depot crap. All seeds here my friend!! You’ll be glad you did. I also bought them because it’s supposed to do good in the shade. Here between my neighbors, you hardly get sun. The darker patches are from the seeds! It used to be just dirt after i killed the weeds. Now you can see…the seeds are working. That Home Depot crap never sprouted and it had a stinky odor.

Greenest and best grass in town
Jonathan Green has excellent products. And you truly get what you pay for. However, it is pricey real pricey fertilizer is pricey as well as seed. Truly, beautiful lawn. However, an extra heavy dose of contractors Mix goes along ways also. Except you’ll have clover mixed in with it also . Jonathan Greene is an excellent product and high quality.

Failure
I love Jonathan Green products. Black Beauty Ultra Supreme and Solar Green are my all time favorites.Something went wrong this year. This BB Sun & Shade seed is not germinating. Ground was aerated, dethatched, and scarified in preparation. Seed was sown 3rd week of October with moderate temperatures here in the Transition zone. I irrigate regularly with creek water.Several weeks later, none of the seed has germinated. Two other brands of grass are ready for cutting in the same areas.I'm truly disappointed. I discarded the bag, so I can't check dates and other package info.Fingers crossed. Maybe a lemon tree will sprout in the Spring.

Great quality seed
The media could not be loaded. Did my first ever aeration and overseed with Jonathan Green Sun and Shade mix in my front yard the week after labor day weekend and so far my yard looks amazing. I have a lot of shade and sun due to my cedar trees in the front and I was hoping this would do the trick. I did do some compost top dressing across most of the lawn and peat moss in some spots. some 10-10-10 fertilizer, Kept the seeds moist by watering lightly two to three times a day and it exploded. If you're not going to put in some work and test your soil, don't waste the money. I'm a newbie lawn diyer and I'm really impressed with the quality of the seed and the beautiful green. It was hard to not cut for 4 weeks while the grass kept reaching for the sky. It was between this seed and gci turf seed but I'm glad I chose JG.
