Has anyone experienced water getting in to the handles when they are being washed?

Yes mine do the same, not so good for hygiene but I stand them in my dish drainer handle down to drain, nice to use and the water in handles is the only fault I have with them, sorry to hear I'm not the only one. Hope this helps if you put in a request for a replacement.

What’s the difference between single and plus east grip?

I'm not sure on that one but the ones shown have smooth grip and hollow handles, better ones have rubber grip handles, and are thicker and easier to hold.
