this is the only item I brought from Castle Art brand as I find their products to be expensive, this definitely is a great range to the cold and warm colors as an addition to any existing art pencils/pens one might have, it's moody tone colors which I find most color pencils set is lacking.

High standard pity you cannot buy individual replacement pencils

Lovely pencils in a beautiful tin. I didn’t give five stars because I feel that there are a lot of pencils which are virtually identical in shade (especially the greys). Having said that, there are some really pretty colours here which you wouldn’t find in a standard set of pencils. These are all muted shades so you will need a standard set of coloured pencils to work with them to get some of the darker tones and any red/yellow tones. They would make a fantastic gift for someone who already has a good set of pencils and would enjoy these as an addition to that. Presentation of the product is first class and information in the tin (including some tutorials) excellent.

The Castle colour pencils are very good quality and reasonably priced. I already have a large range of coloured pencils packaged in a tin box by Castle. This pastel range of colours supplemented my range of colours which were not in my colour set. They are very useful for subtle shading.

A lovely and unusual range of beautifully muted colours - and they have are lovely and soft making them good for shading too. A good addition to a primary set of colours.
