Good quality paper
I found this to be very useful in a printing process I am using, as a utility paper for blotting excess ink from prints. I am not drawing on it directly, but see no reason it wouldn't work well. It did come folded over but I found that when the pack of paper was laid flat the fold largely settled out after a few days.

Excellent for Japanese Sumi
This 13.4'' x 18.1'' translucent calligraphy paper is excellent for practicing Japanese sumi painting strokes. The paper comes folded, which is normal for some of the papers I have seen. At the time of this review this comes with 50 sheets for $8.49 which is an awesome value. I am really enjoying practicing sumi and will buy more of this paper soon.

Be sure you know what you're getting!
This isn't as robust as some pro-painting rice papers, but it's excellent for some specific kinds of techniques with traditional watercolor paints, and is sought out by watercolor artists for making crinkled, wet paintings that look like Batik fabric paintings. Don't expect it to act like 100% cotton rag watercolor paper, but for this specific technique it's quite nice.

Beautiful Paper
Beautiful paper, with the perfect texture & absorbency for brush pens. It has the characteristic faint irregular horizontal lines that many rice papers have from the manufacturing process.I was able to repair a lampshade and it turned out beautifully. I also used it to wrap a gift that turned out GORGEOUS.

Not good for gyotaku printing
I purchased this paper for gyotaku printing, but it's far too thin and tears easily.I wouldn't recommend for gyotaku printing.
