DELICIOUS!!!
I'm American. I learned about Korean Samgyetang when I saw it the first week of July 2022 in one of YouTuber Mukbanger Tzuyang's videos. Unfortunately, there are no Asian markets where I live, so I turned to Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised to find this pre-made mix. I did not use a whole chicken to cook the recipe, as tradition calls for. Instead, I used 4 lbs of boneless, completely skinless and fat-less, chicken thighs cut up into bite-sized chunks with 64 oz of store-bought, low-sodium chicken broth. Other than that, follow the instructions on the package and the soup turns out PERFECT! I attached a picture of my bowl of soup. I will DEFINITELY be buying a lot of these Samgyetang packages to keep at home!!! Excellent product!

Made making Samgyetang much less of a headache
My partner is Korean so I am always looking for new korean dishes to make them. Samgyetang looked like a fun and healthy dish, but I was disappointed to find out how expensive ginseng is. It can also be a little hard to find jujubes. This pack was enough for two average sized cornish hens. I did add some of my own fresh garlic and green onion, but the kit came with everything you need. It got a 10/10 rating from my partner who grew up eating this. Make sure to serve it with salt!

Good quality but very little rice.
Package contents had far less than expected. Very little rice which is not that expensive. I had to buy more rice to stuff the cornish hen. The ingredients were good quality though. Just buy extra rice!

A shortcut to Samgyetang
I purchased this and the herb pack (another review) to try to make samgyetang like I had in a couple of Korean restaurants in Honolulu. I like this package because it contains the essentials for making samgyetang. My only quibble is that it would be nice to have more ginseng; there were just a couple of small pieces in the package. There's more than enough rice for two Cornish Game Hens, which is what I used as I was making a single serving. I ended up throwing the extra rice into the broth. That turned out to be a bad idea; the extra rice absorbed a significant portion of the broth and I ended up with something resembling risotto. It was pretty good risotto but that was purely accidental. I added thinly sliced fresh ginger, thinly sliced dried (rehydrated) Shitake mushrooms and sliced water chestnuts to add body to the subtle broth. The result was samgyetang better than one restaurant but not as good as the other one but I know what I need to do the next time. I'm buying more packages so I can keep experimenting. I just wish it cost less because I spent more making it than I would at the restaurant. But that's true for lots of dishes so don't take that as a knock on the product.

Just Like Uma's Samgyetang
Everything you need to make a popular savory Samgyetang soup, porridge. Easy to understand instructions, includes everything you need to make the dish minus fresh green onions, roasted sesame seeds. Try making this dish in a Insta Pot or Crock Pot. A great comfort food.

Useful
You have it and chicken, and then it will be enough to cook delicious Samgyetang (I recommend you to get a small chicken instead of a big one). I think getting all ingredients one by one is not efficient.

Good for summer heat.
I made a Samgyetong at home. It was very easy to cook. I had ate real Samgyetong at Myondon, Soul when I had a trip in S. Korea. It was good for summer heat.

Sang Gye Gone Wrong.
was a little let down by this product. I guess I just had too high hope.....or maybe I just can't cook for crap. Naaaahhh. I'm a good cook. It is the product. Guess I'll just have to make Sang Gye Tang from scratch. Fresh is always better (just seems impossible to get a whole Korean Genseng root nowadays.
