Q: Do you need an electrified lever? How does the door opener work if the lever is still in the horizontal position latched?

I needed to remove the catch in order for the opener to work, the opener holds the door closed so the catch isn’t required. I believe there was an electronic catch optional mentioned in the units instruction.

Q: Please explain- if used on an exterior door, does this replace the function of a door knob that locks?
