Seem good for 10-month old, with supervision
My 10-month-old baby is really into playing with the magnets we have on the fridge, so I wanted to find him some of his own that would be safe(ish). I did a bunch of research to find magnets that (1) had a full-back sheet magnet (not a small glued-on round/square magnet that could fall off and be a choking risk) and (2) seemed to be durable enough to withstand chewing/drool (so anything made of cardboard, foam, or had a sticker was out). From what I could tell, these were some of the only ones that fit the bill. The actual magnets are very large (no way the baby could swallow them) and none have seemed to begin separating from the wood. The image is painted onto the wood, not a sticker or laminate, and they’ve withstood chewing for the most part. A few have chipped or had pieces of the top layer of wood (with the image) break off, so I would still recommend the baby always be supervised when playing with them (which should be a rule of thumb, anyway). But my kiddo is really into them, I like the art design, and the images are cute; once he understands the animal pictures I think he’ll also enjoy mixing and matching them so they should be fun for a while. They were expensive but overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Cute pieces, sturdy, fun, we love it!
I love DJECO products and this one did not disappoint. I wanted to get some fun magnets for my 2.5 year old boy. I love that this requires a little more thinking in that the pieces are in two parts and he has to match the correct heads to the legs of the animals! We have a stainless steel fridge and magnets don't stick to it, so I bought a magnetic tabletop easel that fold easily for storage (excellent idea!) and now we keep the magnets in their box and the magnetic board folded up and when he wants to play with those he just goes to where they are stored. It is such a fun game! We end up mixing and matching the different parts and my boy has so much fun!! We easily spend half an hour with just this toy. The pieces are sturdy and good quality. We love this toy!! Tiny bit overpriced for magnets but they are different... I haven't been able to find magnets that come in two pieces anywhere else, so it was worth it!

These magnetics are great for your child, I truly recommend them.
I bought these magnetics in two different occasions. The first one was when my little ones was 1 year old, and the second one was 2 weeks ago for a gift to my son's friend (for his first birthday). My son at the first time was playing to attach them on the refrigerator. When he turned 1 and 1/2 year old, he knew how to place them in the correct order. There are some with similar colores that confused him, but that help me to kept him busier :)The wood quality is a little be thin but you can crash them in the floor and nothing happens. The colors are great and the magnetics are not fall down after you put them on the surface. The packaging is really pretty and strong. These magnetics are great for your child, I truly recommend them.

Fun and Durable
We purchased these along with the alphabet magnets. The animals are much larger than the letters for anyone who is concerned about choking. The animals are a fun way for us to talk about animal body parts and colors. The animal (and alphabet) magnets have survived the test of our ten-month old cousin and our two-year old daughter. Both kids don't realize their strength, and can be destructive at times. After two months, we do not have any dings or chips in the paint. We have not had any problems with choking. They are worth the price, as we can pass them on to others in future years. I would buy them again easily.

Watch Out For Splinters
My 16 month old has a hard time grabbing them off the fridge. They are nice quality and sturdy. Mine came with 25 pieces. I got 2 bunny bottoms, so I guess I got one lucky spare. The edges are splintery and I find myself constantly needing to file the flaky, spikey edges with a nail filer.

... and they had a huge magnetic board with magnets like this, where you match the halves or thirds ...
We went to the Oregon Children Museum and they had a huge magnetic board with magnets like this, where you match the halves or thirds of animals/people. My daughter loved them so as soon as I got home, I searched Amazon and these came up! Crazy thing is, after looking back at our photos from the Children's Museum, we realized they're the same exact magnets! That in itself should tell you how great these are! They're durable and have no choking hazards of the graphics peeling off like other options do. They're wood and well made, with fun vivid colors and obvious matches. They're the perfect thickness for durability.

Super cute magnet fun!
My 15 month old was constantly trying to get at our magnets, so this set seemed perfect! Much of our kitchen cabinetry is metal and my kiddo has a great time placing these all over the place. I was impressed with the quality, and they come in a nice storage box. I learned quickly that putting all of the magnets out for a 1 year old results in a big mess. Keep in mind that each animal is actually 2 pieces. I now only put out 3-4 animals at a time and switch them out every few weeks to keep her interested. She enjoys learning their names and making the appropriate animal sounds to go with them.

I love these magnets - and so does my kid
I love these magnets - and so does my kid!!They are big and bright, and smooth. The kid is just turning 1, and love to organize the pieces by size (all the bottoms get put together, and all the tops), because I'm SURE she doesn't have any OCD tenancies like her mother. Also, there are so many combinations that can be made of the animals.Another benefit is that they are big enough that she doesnt put them in her mouth, and I have been impressed that our dogs dont try to eat them either.Every day we play with them, and I just love that they make the kid happy (and me a little too!).
