Q: How do I replace the batteries?

There is a compartment in the base of the frother. You unscrew the base and replace the batteries. It comes with 3 AAA batteries.

Q: Do you have to hold the power button down while operating

No, you press it and let go. Then press again when you want it to stop.

Q: Have you ever put the detached whisks in the dishwasher? Are they safe and clean enough after the cycle?

I have never tried putting it in the dishwasher . I just run the whisk under hot water or immerse in soapy water with it turned on. It's a quick cleanup and rinse off solution. I never let it dry with any type of food particles on it either. Powerful little tool which I use several times each day....latte lover!

Q: How does the 12 month guarantee work? I've had bad luck with frothers

Mine stopped working all together in six month. Batteries were changed twice.
