Hands down best feature releases the metal simply not trying to pull metal off a magnet Love it
I read all the reviews because I've seen multiple items that pick up metal like the ones that roll or whatever and I have to agree that this is an amazing product because of the fact that it has a release pull on the handle so that you're not sitting there at the end manually pulling off nails and screws and other things from a strong magnetI highly recommend it I also found it interesting that a lot of the reviews had to do with people cleaning up their yard after a roofing company was there I think that roofing companies need to be made to buy one of these objects and clean up people's damn yards because of roof is expensive and nobody needs holes no tires or stepping on nails it's amazing how many people have the same problem and it was all due to roofers anyway off topic there just thought it was interesting this is a good product It was easy to use it worked well and I can't express how happy I am about the future where it releases the objects from the magnet without me having to do it manually so I love it

Effective Heavy-Duty Pick-up Capability
The pro’s are it’s a strong magnet on the end of a quite sturdy telescopic type 2-piece extendable pole/tube (rod), that uses a nifty twist action to lock the desired adjustable length. This device paid for itself after 45 minutes use by finding countless rusty nails, screws, and a couple of tools lost in the thick landscape beds located below a large deck restoration project. The main drawback is it’s weight from that heavy-duty capability results in fatigue on the user’s wrist after a little time. I suppose that a more-ergonomic handle design would help with that issue. Also, I found the rod’s twist-locking would come loose occasionally when the magnet head would get caught on the landscape plants I was searching through, but that was mostly resolvable by using a firmer twist-lock force. Not yet sure of the rust resistance level of the rod; more time is needed. All-in-all, a very helpful tool for sure.

Works for small jobs
We initially purchase this for use in our fire pit as some of the wood we have burned has had nails or staples in it. It seems to work great though due to its small surface area, it fills up quickly with staples and nails and these have to be removed frequently to be able to grab onto any more. Otherwise it is sturdy and easy to use

Easy clean-up of nails and other metal bits after remodeling.
Just finished remodeling and re-roofing my little home. Noticed when sitting on the front porch there were lots of nails laying around in the grass and mulch. Since I have both dogs and cats, I was concerned one of them would jump off the porch and get, well, nailed. I also saw nails on the driveway and didn't want a slow puncture there either. I purchased this magnet and sent my dogwalker out to just do a pass around the house. He brought back such a huge collection of nails in the first 3 feet around the house that I had him widen the perimeter. He came back with another chunk of nails the 2nd pass! It was easy, even fun to get all the nails. He's very tall and the 40" arm worked fine. Well worth it for cleaning up the construction zone and making sure no people or pets get jabbed with a rusty (or even a non-rusty nail)! The photo is one pass of the yard, note some are 3 to 4-inch nails! They are in the bottom of a 24 can cat food box for perspective.

Much Weaker Than Advertised
I got this to pickup screws from the yard, and for that it works fine. However, to say this thing has a 50lb capacity is insane, it can’t pickup 20lbs let alone 50. It is a surprisingly weak magnet considering its size. However, for little items like finding screws and staples in your yard it will work.

It works!
We had our garage re-roofed and i saw a few nails in the grass afterword. Bought this to see if it could find any more. Using this, we found 175 mire whole or partial old nails around the four sides of the garage! We just waived it around on the grass, you hear a “click” and a nail is stick to it! The head is kind of small, so you have to waive it in very small rows but it found a lot of nails that might have gone into barefeet! Worth it!
