Yes.It is an FX lens and uses the entire D750 image sensor and AF is done using the AF motor and screw-drive system in the D750 camera body.

Yes, the lens has an aperture control ring. All AF -D Nikon lenses do. Note the D after the lens maximum aperture range -AF 24-85 mm f/2.8-4.0D.Nikon's AF-G lenses do not have an aperture ring. Some say the G stands for Gelded.

Hi Oxdio, nope, this lense has no vibration reduction at all- Consider the f2,8 as some substitution. I am happy with this lense on my D7000 (small sensor = crop ~1,5). Other say the new AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR - which by the way has your requested features VR and ED - is much better. Why I mention it? Might it be you mixed the two ones? Happy with the 25-85mm 2,8-4f I have consequently zero experince with the other myself. Hope that helps Best regards Klaus

does this work with a D700?

Yes it works fine with a D700. You just have to lock the Aperature ring, which is a switch on the lense. It's a good lense, the aspherical glass though shows a little on the edges because the D700 is a full frame. It's hardly noticable though and if it actually affects your shot you can easily crop it out.
