When I read the news that there was a bear attack at an apiary 6 miles away from me, causing great damage, is when I decided I needed to upper my protection plan. I already have an electric fence, but a running bear could stand the momentary pain caused by the electricity and just have dinner on my bees. So my plan was to scare it off before it came too close or slow it down enough that if it touched the fence, it would then go away from the electric blast. So I got some solar sensor lights, a little solar radio that broadcasts weather, and this noise maker with red strobe lights installed about eight feet high on a pole. I got two of them, and I just recorded different dogs barking madly at each of them, so if both go on, you can get the sense of even more different dogs in the area. I set them up for 24 hours, but they are too sensitive and would go off every four minutes, so I changed it to night-only mode. I like the fact that they do not go off by the bright white lights or the voice coming from the little radio, but every time I walk in front of them, even if I do it very slowly, they go off, and they sound amazing. I set the volume to the middle because I felt that it was loud enough to scare the lights of whatever animal was even thinking of coming near the fence. We had very cloudy three days, and they still worked fine at night after I triggered them by walking in front of them. It has been about three weeks, and they are working according to plan; I will follow up with any changes whenever they occur. It is excellent now that half a dozen dogs are now protecting the apiary and not having to care for them!

The scared the raccoon away! Later the raccoons returned and knocked it to the ground and it doesn't work now. I wish these products had a better casing to withstand getting knocked around.

Bought this item to have Thriller music play for my Holloween theme .Sound horrible was sending back .Then on kitchen table in box it cam on and sounded not bad .So I cut a piece of foam and placed it In speaker hole covering it and it sounded pretty good and clear .like it gave it more base .working well been out over a week now and staying charged with the solar charging system.motion sensor works great nothing can get bye this device without it going off . Was very easy to record your own saying or music .like this product.

I got this right after we had someone at our front door in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. I wanted something that would make noise with motion, this was it. At first it was great and did exactly what it was supposed to, but now the motion sensor has stopped working, so it's basically useless to us. Worked for a little over a month and now the return window has closed, so I can't even get my money back, or even try another one without buying another one. Save your money and don't purchase this.

For the very low price point, this motion sensor alarm by SENKEFEI SS is effective to scare away the occasional deer and low intelligence bad actor from behind our back yard fence. It's not something that I would trust for a commercial application, but as a homeowner's first line of defence (pun intended), it serves the purpose.
