Great Glaze, Shiny Finish
I use this to seal my artwork and hand-painted ornaments. It works great, is easy to use, and dries quickly. It leaves a beautiful shiny finish that is not sticky to the touch. The coverage is good, but you do have to be careful when spraying to ensure proper coverage. I highly recommend this glaze!

Works well over oil pastel
I have been using this for small and medium sized oil pastel work on both sketchbook paper and canvas. It works great and makes the oil pastel a flat, even-textured layer that does not smudge. It does not affect the colors either. Definitely use over an old towel or something and wear a mask to avoid inhaling. The smell does not linger on the finished work though.

Strong hold, strong finish, just mind the strong scent
As a beginner artist I recently tried the Krylon Fixative Spray, and I must say, it does an excellent job at setting and protecting artwork. The finishing is smooth and gives a professional touch without altering the original colors. It dries quickly and holds well, making it a reliable choice for artists. However, the smell is quite strong, so I’d recommend using it in a well-ventilated area. The manufacturer has provided clear usage instructions,be sure to follow them for the best results. Overall, a great fixative with a strong finish, just be mindful of the scent!

Works well, smells awful
This is your old fashioned, brain-killing, high-VOC fixatif. Don't use it indoors in a living area, even with ventilation. In the past couple of decades, spray paints have really cut down on the VOC (volatile organic compounds) content, but this stuff apparently missed the boat. The smell lingers for hours, which I suppose depends on temperature and humidity.Regardless of the smell, it works very well to protect delicate drawings from smudging. A light coat is enough. A light coat doesn't distort or change the texture of the papers I'm using. Medium-weight sketch paper wrinkles a bit, but smooths out again when it dries. Bristol and mixed-media paper don't distort at all. I think it's difficult to erase through if you need to rework. It's possible, but not without distressing the paper a bit.Like just about every kind of spray paint, this is easiest to apply with finesse if you use one of the handles that are sold for these cans.Only time will tell if it truly does help to prevent UV yellowing and oxidation. I haven't been using it long enough, and besides, here in the coastal PNW the UV index doesn't get above -1 for more than four months a year.I'll buy it again, at least until I find a less stinky alternative.

Good product
I sketch with a 6H pencil. The lead is soft and smudges. If I am working on a level surface, my arm or hand may touch and smudge something already there as I reach above it to work on another area on the page. I use this spray very lightly on areas that are finished, as I go. This spray works on color pencils, and a kneade eraser is needed to make adjustments on areas that have already been sprayed and also for color penciling. The spray can functions as it should and will last. This was a great purchase. For big projects, because I can work for a while, lightly spray the area I just did, lie it down and come back to it later. The only caution - all you need is one quick light spray. If you over spray, the paper will get too wet and when it dries, it will look like paper that got wet and dried...

Love it for my acrylic paintings
I used this spray to varnish my acrylic paintings. This product worked great, it was easy to apply, self-leveling, great finish and dried very fast. I did not have to apply a second coat. I will be buying more of this product.

Nice spray coat
Been using this product to top coat my paintings. Really works nicely, seals and brings out the colors a bit.
