Mades the ROG Ally feel like wide Xbox controller. AMAZING!!!
At the time of writing this review, I've had it installed for no less that 5 minutes. OMG did this surpass my expectations. This should be mandatory. I can play with my large hands and have some meat to hold on to. So comfortable, no more hand cramps. Solid grip. I'd recommend getting the backplate with the kickstand built in like the clear one. OMG this is AMAZING!!!!

Perfect fit
For someone with sizeable fingers, these grips were a breath of relief. It feels similar to the ROG Ally X and I have no problem touching the back buttons. My only gripe is the smooth plastic texture of the grips. It feels like sometimes the ally will slip from your hands. Once you get used to it, its not the worst thing in the world, but I would perfer if the texture was more gripy.

Almost perfect
Overall the grips are amazing, it adds quite a bit of thickness which helps so much as far as comfort while playing for a long period of time. The rubber grip pad is a good idea, very nice spot to rest the tips of my fingers, but it would be nice to have some texture around the sides as the plastic is very smooth. I see complaints about the back buttons but I feel like it’s still just as easy to reach them I have no issues with that . My main gripe that makes me wonder if my set just had poor quality control, is the right grip is very loose and the clip towards the top by the fan keeps coming apart. Overall the right one is much more loose than the left ( the left doesn't budge at all btw) and almost feels not secure at all as the gaps in between the plastic are very noticeable. It could be because there is a little less plastic to hold it secure due to the buttons being on that side but I am unsure. I want to love it but it’s a little bothersome at times, maybe I’ll try another set and see if it was just this one I was sent this time.

Safe and comfortable !!
This fits the rog ally perfect and snug just how you’d want a case, it’s great because it makes holding it in your hands 10x more comfortable & it also actually protects your handheld device, my cat knocked it off the bed and it fell face first with no damage on the hardwoods floor. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone with an original rog ally, also great paired with the handheld diy backplate

Transformative for people with larger hands!
I very much prefer to play games through local streaming, whether from my Xbox or my PC. The Ally (as a Windows PC) interfaces perfectly with those other Microsoft platforms making for a very user friendly and stable interaction. The downside for me has always been the form factor because it's too flat for me to find comfortable. The flatness is good if you want to bring it with you everywhere but I don't. I just want to go from my desk where I was working, to, afterwards, literally anywhere else around my house. These grips add quite a bit of bulk on the sides but that's EXACTLY what I was looking for. It feels like a normal controller now. They snap on very easily and have a nice solid fit to where you completely forget they're on there or even that your using a handheld PC. This product is highly recommended if you don't care about whether your Ally is optimized to be 'travel-friendly'

Overall a Good Set of Grips
First off I'd like to state that I have one of the cooling mod back shells by HandheldDIY as you'll see in the pics. While I enjoy the Rog Ally in its stock config, these grips add a better level of comfort and ergonomics akin to holding a standard controller. Its made the whole experience nicer and fairly precise when it comes to any fps games or controlling the mouse in Windows or SteamOS. As far as cons the actual material is a bit flimsy and has slight flex to it that you'll probably notice whenever you adjust your hold(Also the grips seem slightly loose possibly due to my back shell but it looks the same as stock. Just bigger back vents). Its not noticeable unless you're trying to stay quiet in a silent room. Not a deal breaker for my personal uses. The only changes I would make to the grips themselves though would be in the coverage of the vents. It doesn't seem like its affected temps despite this. Overall I give this a 4 out of 5 stars but I'd give it a 4.3 if I could since it fills out a need for ergonomic grips. Not a bad product.

Good grips, but overly complicated and cheap feel.
It's unfortunate that these are the only grips for the ROG Ally with a depth similar to that of the steam deck. The material feels cheap and flimsy. It's both difficult to fit into place, as well as remove. I'll give it credit on the fact that once the grips are on, they stuck, but the material promotes palm sweat, which makes me wonder if my other case is better overall.
