Handy little skin patches for Vitamin B12 supplement
These handy little patches work exactly the same way as any other hormonal/nicotine etc patches would, enabling you to absorb the product - Vitamin B12 in this case - through the skin. You just peel one from the plastic sheet in the packet and slap it on, ideally in a spot where there is no or not much hair... they're quite sticky and stay on well! You get 60 patches in a pack and I haven't been using mine every day, just when I feel I need a bit of an energy boost, so they're lasting quite well. You leave each patch on for 12 hours - day or night, whichever you prefer. I find the print on them fades over the 12 hours which I assume shows the absorption in action. The only drawback from my point of view is that if you have skin sensitivity to adhesives, these are latex, lactose, gluten and sugar-free but not hypo-allergenic, so you may find you get a little skin reddening and irritation at the site.Still, it is worth it, in my opinion, for the benefits of a supplement but in a more convenient form that tablets.

Seem to be boosting energy
I liked the idea of these patches and was looking to boost my energy levels.I already take b complex daily but needed a boost. These patches do seem to work and I don't think I'm imagining it.I have used 5 so far and put on before going to work.I don't notice I'm wearing them at all and put one on my upper inner forearm. They adhere well with no irritation at all and I completely forget I'm wearing it.Best of all, I'm not fighting fatigue by the end of the day or falling asleep when I get home.I will continue using these and am happy so far, and can recommend based on my experience.

Sticks well and relatively decent price
For 60 transdermal patches at just under £25 at time of review is pretty decent value and essentially gives you 2 months supply.I thought I'd try these out instead of taking B12 tablets to see if there was any noticeable difference but tbh I haven't seen any markable differences so not sure if these are as any more effective than tablets.I have a friend who recently had B12 injections and he said that he felt like superman after having an injection so I think if you really have a deficiency in B12 then it may be wise to ask your GP for injections instead. The transdermal patches are just another way of absorbing B12 over a period of time and they stick well although I have noticed that when I am exercising and sweat that the patch starts to peel away so it doesn't do well under damp conditions.I haven't had any skin issues with the patches so not concerned with any adverse reactions. The patches come in sealed packs so you're assured of quality and are stamped with a batch number, manufacturing date and expiry dates. The packs are nicely marketed and are easier to store than bottles of capsules/tablets.I can pop these in my work bag without any hassle. They work for upto 12hrs so you're getting a steady absorption of the vitamin. These are latex free as well as lactose free and has no gluten or sugar. As with all vitamins and supplements always check with your health care provider before using any supplements, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition and/or taking regular medication.I'm happy to use these and if I see any marked improvements over an oral version then I'll revisit this review and update accordingly but as for now I haven't really seen any difference.

On the expensive side
I'm used to having B12 in pill form, which are usually considerably cheaper than these patches however they are obviously a very different type of application, and I'd expect patches to be more expensive in comparison. It is difficult to say for me without having a blood test to know if the patches are more effective than the pills I would usually take. I do know that I feel tired in the evening when I forget a B12 tablet and have not had this with these patches, so I know they are functioning at least. The patches are easy to apply and it is easy to forget they are still attached to you due to the very small profile.I'm going to carry on using these patches until they run out and will re-evaluate towards the end whether they are worth purchasing again.

Great for anyone who doesn't like injections or tablets
These are going to be difficult to review as the only way I will be able to measure if they are workingwill be to have blood tests at the doctors so I can only really review the patches.I usually have 1 mega-dose injection every 14 weeks (my practitioner won’t do them more frequently). I swear they start working straightaway - it might be a placebo effect but I go from falling asleep on the sofa at 9pm to being able to stay up as late as I want the following night. I can always tell when I'm due for another as I start falling asleep by 9pm again. The injections costs me £30 a time (so £2.14 per week). These patches are currently £24.99 for 60 days supply (so £2.94 per week) so the price is pretty comparable. They are convenient in that I can have them delivered to my house free of charge from Amazon Prime and I don’t have to make any appointments and leave the house to go to them.I can administer them myself as I can put them anywhere on my body; I don’t need to rely on anyone else or for a qualified person to fit them. They are super easy to remove from the packet and apply. However I have to remember to put one on each morning and my memory isn’t that good so they aren’t for me but they’d be very good for anyone who doesn’t like injections or taking tablets.
