My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined...
I'm a fan of Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles and have purchased over a dozen of them. But this one just ain't it, chief.The build quality is there, but the big issue is with the picture itself. Just look closely at the house and you can see numerous perspective issues with it along with really unrealistic details. I get it if the art style is in a cartooney whimsical style, but this has not been done that way.The mare and colt also look entirely odd behind the gate. I've started calling the colt "Kuato" because it looks like it's growing from out of the chest of the mare (Total Recall... If you know, you know...).And then there's the recycled artwork. Lots of copy-paste repeating itself, with just slight alterations.Look I get it, it's not easy to constantly create new artwork with deadlines, cost cutting, etc. And the quality construction is there. But a lot of the uncanny valley details really detract from this scene being one you want to feel immersed in.
