Works beautifully! I am turning 70 in a couple of weeks and can no longer get down on my knees to pull weeds. (Let's face it, I never could!). Bending over to reach the ground risks landing on my head in the middle of the weed and I HATE using chemicals that kill good "weeds" that I actually want, like beebalm, plantain and other medicinal herbs. My perfect solutions? Papa's Tools heavy duty 4 claw steel head weed puller! Place the claws in the middle of a weed, press down on the lever with your foot which causes the claws to clasp the root. Lean the tool against the lever, which pulls up the weed, root and all. Voila!! One perfectly pulled weed without kneeling! If you missed part of the root, simply repeat the process. I can pull weeds that I'd have to dig all day to get in just a minute. Wearing study gloves means I can grab the weed from the tool and put it in a bucket without damage to my hands--a real plus when pulling thistles. It's so easy to use, perfectly designed to make getting the weed out of the ground and out of the claws simple. The tines are not sharp enough to damage your foot unless you try removing weeds wearing flip flops, but easily penetrates the ground. If you have heavy clay or very hard pack dirt, I'd recommend running your sprinkler over the area to be weeded just long enough to soften the soil without creating mud pies. Bottom line, it works like a charm without breaking the bank.

Our order arrived to day and it was put to use, very successful, immediately. The dual weed eject portion works great and makes it easy to clear the weeds from the prongs. I only wanted to try a few weeds in our backyard, but had to force myself to stop when my 5 gallon bucket was about 1/3 full of weeds from our lawn. I read reviews before placing my order, and some people didn't like the eject feature, but I figured all I had to do is not use it, if it was too hard for me. The price was identical for the standard and the one that included the eject and I'm glad to use it. I heighly recommend this product.

This yard tool works great. You just insert the prongs into the center of the weed, step on the lever. The prongs grasp the weed, and you pull it up. You manually pull the weed from the prongs of the tool. There is no lever to automatically push the weed from the prongs of the tool. There is no bending over as the long handle makes this task easy.

This thing does a decent job of pulling up dandelions, but I wish the prongs went a little deeper to get the entire root out. For many of these weeds (maybe 75%), the prongs that you push into the ground are long enough to pull out the root. On the remaining 25%, the prongs pull out most of the weed, but not the long taproot. That said, this device is easy to use and is way better than the stuff you need to crawl around on hands and knees. That method is no longer an option for my aching back.

Love this thing, really really works and saves my back and hands. 100% buy this thing. I’ve even used it in a mulched area around my kids play set where weeds have managed to come up through the weed barrier and mulch. Works like a charm. Even works on big giant weeds in the middle of our yard as well. Really helping them to not come back because 90% of the time it pulls out the entire taproot. Got this one instead of a more popular name brand. Works like a charm. Do yourself a favor and save the money versus buying the more expensive one..this works great!!

This tool is a lot easier to use than kneeling to pull dandelions and some other weeds. I use a pair of gloves, a 5-gallon bucket, and this tool.The key is to get the dandelion in the center of the tool. Once I got the hang of it, I cut my weeding time in half. And no sore knees from kneeling all the time. I brought a second one for my mom; she loved it after trying mine. ( and she is in her 80s)

Purchased the weed puller last fall. Before mowing for the first time this spring I noticed a bunch of dandelions so I took out the weed puller . You insert it into the ground push down on the handle and tilt it to the side over the lever. The dandelion pulled right out roots and all without bending over . Released the handle and it dropped the dandelion into the bucket.It is well made and I plan on using it a lot !It took a few tries to get it right but once I did it was quick and easy!
