Awesome for POTS management and a great Oral Rehydration Solution!
This is the cheapest and most effective hydration/electrolyte mix that I have found! I am so impressed with the amount of sodium it has. The added dextrose makes it an Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS for short). Research has found that ORS are as effective as IV fluids with much fewer risks. I go through roughly 2 packets a day.To help with mixing, before I open the packet I make sure to massage out any large clumps. I then fill in a 64oz water bottle and use 48oz (about 1.5x the recommended 1 Liter). I start with a little hot water and swirl it around a bit, then add cold water. The end result is a room temperature drink that might need a bit of shaking, but usually dissolves well. Starting out I used a gallon of water to mix it in, and then would do half water and half the mixture from the gallon. It is strong to start out!I know some people like to add Mio, crystal light, or other flavors to it. I've gradually gotten used to it and can drink it straight. But it does taste good as the base for either tea or coffee. A warning about that though--don't put the mix in your Keurig or coffee maker, though, as it becomes a breeding ground for mold, as I unfortunately learned! Now I just add the Trioral after.Trioral will make carbonated drinks fizz, but if you add it slowly, it can taste really good. I don't like the carbonation anyway, so I sometimes add it to flavored carbonated drinks to get the flavors without the fizz.

licked a salt block in July
Let’s be real. The label says tasteless but my taste buds say otherwise. It’s salty. Like “licked a salt block in July” salty. BUT—did it help me? Yes. Absolutely.I have POTS, HPA Axis dysregulation, and just to spice things up, I’m riding the hormonal rollercoaster known as perimenopause. My estrogen is out here winning gold medals while the rest of my system struggles to keep up.Summer heat is my nemesis. I overdo it constantly, then crash hard. That’s why I stocked these in my emergency POTS travel bag. But instead of waiting for a trip to test them, I grabbed one after I overheated mowing and working in the yard.It wasn’t love at first sip, but once I got it down? Cramping—gone. Headache—eased. Brain fog—lifted. I could think again. No dramatic fainting couch required.Would I drink this for fun? No. Would I keep it close for those “oh no, I overdid it again” moments? 100%.

Absolutely will buy again!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:During the summer I work outside a lot! The GA weather takes a beating in my hydration. I usually end up having to get IV fluids at least 2 or 3 times sometimes more during the summer. I found this product that was recommended by a friend and that has now changed. Trioral is the first product that I have found that is as close to receiving an IV fluid bag as you can get. I highly recommend this product! I will also be up front and say that I typically mix it with a 32 oz bottle of Powerade or a Body Armor (flavor of choice and take a small sip first). Mixing it with plain water is not good unless you like drinking salt water. Lastly I am a Firefighter and I have also recommended this Trioral to my colleagues for their hydration needs.

Lifesaver for POTS! High Sodium Content That Actually Helps
As someone managing POTS, hitting my daily sodium goal (6,000–8,000mg) is essential and not easy with most electrolyte products on the market. I was recommended Trioral packets by the Mayo Clinic and they have been a game changer. Each one delivers significantly more sodium than your average rehydration mix. I mix in a bit of liquid crystal light for flavor!I’ve tried a lot of brands, but these are by far the most effective for keeping my blood pressure stable and reducing dizziness. They’re based on the WHO oral rehydration formula, which gives me peace of mind about their efficacy. If you have POTS or another condition that requires high sodium intake, I can’t recommend these enough.

Works well
Cheapest way to get sodium in me that I’ve found as a POTS patient. I mix 1 packet with 16 oz bottle of water and flavoring of choice, drink then drink regular water after.

Perfect for POTS and more than slick branding and trendy marketing
I have POTS and can’t seem to keep enough water in my body without staying on top of it 24/7. Trioral has been one of the best electrolyte solutions I’ve ever used. I use 1/2 to 1 full packet in 24-32 oz of water. It makes the water feel sort of heavy and chilled. I don’t like it as well alone, but adding Mio makes it all go down very easy, and I can tell a difference in how I feel within 10-15 minutes of starting to drink this. It’s formulated to the standards for oral rehydration salts set by the WHO for global use in health emergencies. The WHO’s recipe gets used in countries where people are experiencing dehydration due to illness from bad drinking water, poor sanitation, and contagious disease. So they’ve done a lot of testing for the optimal ratios of each ingredient to help people get hydrated quickly when they’re ill, and this is the ratio Trioral uses. The glucose in the mix actually helps your body absorb water more efficiently. They don’t add it for flavor, they add it because it makes the product more effective (and this is included in the WHO’s guidelines, which you can find publicly if you also collect very specific information for your trivia brain). When you buy the larger size boxes, you get a much better deal, obviously. I tested out a small box to see if it helped and my next purchase was the 100 count. If you have a problem with your nervous system or blood volume/low blood pressure, these are the best of the best for staying hydrated.
