Very useful therapeutic tool - highly recommend to use with related book
These have been a fantastic addition to my practice. I also have the book that goes along with the deck and explains the theory and use of the cards, as well as the other two decks that have later been added; I appreciate that the other two decks give these a boost in inclusivity. The husband and wife duo behind these decks also have lots of fantastic content online to help in learning and use of the deck. In addition to being a therapist I also teach psychology and counseling, and my students have enjoyed using them as well.

Great for structural dissociation/complex trauma
These cards are so neat and I can't wait to continue using them in my therapy sessions. The illustrations really capture the essence of my parts and my adult part can finally feel compassion for them – especially the wounded child parts. I had done some parts work during EMDR and I prefer this approach as my thinking brain remains very much online and my memories don't unravel afterwards. The greatest obstacle for me before reading Janina Fisher's book (Healing the Fragmented Selves of Trauma Survivors) was being unable to realize my fragmentation because I had never been whole. Not only can I identify the traumatized parts with these cards, but I'm drawn to some of the more positive cards too which gives me hope.

As a Clinical Social Worker, useful and clients love them, but a word of caution
This product is fantastic for giving clients a way to express emotions, internal strengths, and external resources without words, thus without the filter of cognition. The clients love them and usually feel relief at being able to express without having to initiate the verbal conversation.Note: I am an EMDR therapist trained in dissociation and complex trauma.I have used the cards differently from the downloadable guidebook. I will have them pull out any card that gives them any kind of feeling, memory, or somatic reaction. I have had my clients share their identity timeline and traumatic incidents. I use the strengths based cards for EMDR resourcing. There are a few cards I will have them take the body language of to install the somatic resource using BLS/DAS. Sometimes when using the Early Childhood Trauma and Neglect Protocol, the clients sometimes ask if they can use an image from the deck as a starting point.A WORD OF CAUTION: There are three cards that have sent clients into flashbacks. Download and read the guidebook before use. Monitor your clients while they use the cards, and have reorienting and grounding skills ready.

Easy to use and very effective
These are truly fantastic cards. I love tools that make a modality more accessible to the client and these do just that. Being able to externalize a Part makes the process easier for a lot of people in my practice. The only drawback is that the deck is not very culturally aware/diverse. Whites are too well represented.

Great tool for the toolbox
As a therapist, I love using these cards with clients who have difficulty expressing their emotions or seeing a "bigger picture". The instruction videos on the website were quite helpful (the video series re: using the cards for COVID) and I just use a similar format of questioning for whatever we are currently working on.

IFS parts cards
These are so cool! I ordered a set for me to use with clients and liked them much i had boss order 4 more sets to use groups. There is info on line, and a parts book that goes with as well. They are well made with vibrant colors. I'm holding a women's retreat and on day 2 we're going use these for an activity... Can't wait to try them with a group!! P.S. i work with sexual assault survivors and IFS has been helpful. I hope to become certified one day.

Disappointed - no booklet or written material -Inner Active Cards for Parts Works
The cards are beautiful and look brand new. No damage. But be aware there is nothing in the box but the cards. Not even any words. (When I say the photos I thought the photo of the box was the small booklet. It is not.) -------- I expected there to be some written explanation in with the cards based on Angel Cards I purchased in the past that had both the cards (with captions) and then a small book with descriptions and explanations for each one. While $20.00 may not be much for others to spend, it is a big chunk for me... The idea of spending even more for the workbook makes me regret purchasing them.No doubt the pictures are very nice and there is nothing wrong with the cards.

Useful If Not Diverse Cards for Family Therapy
I bought these cards on the recommendation of a colleague of mine at Northwestern and I've used them several times with success for both child and adolescent clients. I like that you can use them to help personify things beyond family systems, such as What Does Your Anxiety Look Like? Or shame, etc. I do very much wish they were more culturally diverse; here in 2020, there's really no reason they're not, but I still am grateful to have them and keep them with me in my therapy practice bag.
