Q: The part I am trying to replace as a double brass pin to hold in in place on the blind. How is this one held in place?

If the old one is still in place take note of how it is arranged before taking it out and replace the new one in the same way. Otherwise, with the blind taken down obviously, fiddle around with it until it works. It just slots into the mechanism. I did it and I have no technical skills. Saves a fortune on replacing blind. Have confidence!

The wand mechanism is to tilt the blind, the chord and the part you see is to pull the blind up or let down. They each have different functions. Hope this helps.

Fixed my blind.

I needed to fix my daughters blind, so was happy to find this replacement. It was about a millimetre bigger than the hole from the original lock, but with a few shaves off with my tin snips, I made the hole big enough to fit. The blind is now working again, so happy with my purchase.

Fell apart after 6 weeks

Garbage is my opinion as it fell apart in 6 weeks, Literally blinds came down and 4 smallBrass looking bits flew off.Buy Cheap, Buy Twice.
