I just got This book for me because I just moved from Virginia To North Carolina so yeah So I am at a new school As well so I am also a new girl In the story I talked about her having a. And I am sorry to also get my period. Otherwise A good story to Read and I had A really good experience And I just feel like this book is about me so and I enjoyed that.

My 9 year old daughter loved this book. Especially the language review at the end of the book to be able to reference back to when parts weren’t in English. She found that very fun!

Never have I felt more seen than witnessing the struggles of this young teen learning how to make friends and adapt to a new culture. Navigating misunderstandings, menstrual pain, and crushes, along with school life...this really is a golden example for younger generations that didn't have such candid honesty when we were that young. I look forward to seeing more of Lia as she grows throughout the years until she is the established artist we know she will be! I absolutely loved it.

Very pretty book got it for a 5th grade girl starting at a new school. It was easily her favorite book by the end of the read❤️it was a story she could relate to and laugh about, helped her feel less alone on being a new kid and more confident after reading it

I had no idea what this book was about or that it was comic book style. My daughter wanted this book because she saw it at her school book fair. I purchased it on amazon because it was way cheaper than the fair. This book is about a girl that faces the struggles of moving and going to a new school, and experiences the gift of Mother Nature. This really resonated with my daughter since we just moved and she’s the new girl at school. We haven’t started our period yet over here but this was a nice way to introduce it. My daughter really enjoyed the book and all the different languages within it. The back of the book has a glossary so you know what all the French, Romanian, and Chinese words mean.

Love the story and the illustration is beautiful. I will buy it again as a gift for my niece.
