Better than expected!
The media could not be loaded. Saw this on Amazon and it struck my interest. I really liked the blade geometry with the BoHi - No BoHi look of the blade. What do I mean? Well, the BoHi starts about 1/2 way down the blade which actually sounds sort of goofy, but it really works. I like the look! Haven’t seen anything like it. The blade appears sturdy and reasonably sharp out of the box with a mirror polish. It accomplishes the paper cutting well enough. It’s 1045, not exactly my favorite and the samegawa is imitation , but I knew that before I bought it. Those are the only 2 negatives for Me! Opinions vary in those areas. The wood Saya is very well done and attractive and really match the fittings. Almost no Saya rattle. The Ito is a slight bit on the loose side, but the transitions are well done. The Sageo is not particularly high quality. More like left over Ito.Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase. It’s an excellent entry level sword and there are certain manufacturing shortcomings to be expected. Look at my pics and see if it might be right for you as well. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.😎
