Great product, a little goes a long way
I was looking for a natural-looking finish that would highlight the grain of a pine bench.Durogrit did exactly that. It has a very natural, slightly rustic feel, and highlights the wood grain. This is very different from applying a finish like spar-varnish, and there was a learning curve using this product. It was easy to apply to a sample slat, but as soon as I was dealing with joints and corners on the real furniture the Durogrit was too thick for me to work it in evenly. I watered it down a lot and got a great result working it into the wood with my brush. This took a while, but only one coat!Watered down, a little goes a really long way.Cleanup is easy, and mistakes are easy to fix, wiping off. I tried applying in between slats by wiping with a rag but did not like the result. It seems really durable and has a really nice non-oily water repellent quality. The result is matte and slightly rustic textured, not the right choice if you want a polished, shiny finish.Would recommend.

Durogrit Came. It Sealed. It Conquered!!!
I used Rubio Monocoat DG Rocky Umber on a pine garden bed, and it totally exceeded my expectations. The product went on smoothly, had great color saturation even on absorbent pine, and really brought out the grain in a natural, rich way. So far, it's holding up great—no fading or signs of wear, even after some harsh weather recently.Compared to the usual big box store stains I’ve used in the past, this is on another level. Most of those take multiple coats and still don’t last. With Durogrit, one coat was enough, and the finish feels far more durable. This is definitely my go-to for exterior wood going forward.A few tips that helped:I used a Wooster 3" polyester/nylon brush, which made application super easy. A good brush makes a big difference!!!I also lightly sanded all the pressure-treated boards before applying Durogrit. That extra prep really helped the product penetrate, IMO.If you’re working in hot weather, move fast! It sets up quicker than you’d expect when it’s warm out, but that's common knowledge with exterior finishes.

DuroGrit for the win!
Check out my back gate! I am very happy with how it turned out. I used the Exterior Wood Cleaner which did an excellent job of removing excess dirt and gray deposits. I chose Rubio Monocoat Green which is very opaque forest green color and I love how the wood grain is still visible. It was easy to apply, I just brushed on a nice wet coat and let it dry. One coat and done. There was no dripping and the brush strokes laid flat when it dried. Very happy so far, we'll see how it stands up to the Arizona sun.

Best ever. 100% guarantee you'll love it!!!
Easy application and stunning end results. Durable and long lasting. If a spot becomes worn or damaged, simply apply fresh product on the specific area and whatch as it dries to become the same shade as the rest of your project.

New favorite outdoor finish
Goes on as easy as paint, similar viscosity. Clean up is extremely easy; washes up with water and doesn’t stain skin. Looks great on cedar. Evens out the tones but still shows some grain.

Messy
Half full can of messy gloop. Glad I tried a test piece, this hot garbage smears like chunky peanut butter. Absorbs in unevenly, and leaves powder residue on people's hands.
