The wafers are whole wheat. We also order gluten free wafers. I don't know if they are considered vegan, maybe you could contact Amazon who can give you the supplier, and ask them. We think the wafers are very good and if properly stored, stay fresh and crispy. Fr. Jack+

How many carbohydrates are in 1 wafer?

Not very much, you may have to call the Cavanagh company. Since it is unlevened bread with no yeast , I dought it has any at all
