How long does it take for the water to heat up and produce steam?

If you put the setting on 10 it heats to steam in about 7 minutes or so. If you have it on a lower setting it takes longer. I have used many different steamers I do like this one it works great and is quiet, it also has many height settings. I do recommend this steamer.

There is a basket on top of the steamer, where you can add tea bags, herbs and essence
