Don’t buy the knockoffs
I’ve had a Joseph Joseph trash can for 2.5 years. I’ve tried off brand charcoal filters on Amazon and while they work, they do not work as well (there’s still some smell) and they do not work for as long. Definitely worth it just to buy these—longer lasting and traps more odor.

this really works
My trash started to stink (garbage, compostables & recycling). I cleaned the whole bin but still had a smell. Changed my filter and it absorbed the stink. Worked as described.

Great value
Great value for refills. I've almost bought not original refills, but was pleasantly surprised to see that original ones are less expensive and have 6 items in a set. Will buy again.

Doesn’t work
Makes absolutely no difference using the manual compactor by Jason, too bad.

Not efficient
I was expecting this item to do its job but it’s not. I still smell the garbage strong and there are flies around the can. Not sure how this and the trash can both still attract flies even when empty.
