I purchased this at the end of April and it is now the end of July (3 months) and the Tymo Porta Pro no longer works. I have only used it about five times and now when I go to turn it on, it flashes and turns off- does not heat up. I am outside of the 30 day refund window so this will just be a costly lesson. I was on a trip when it died and had to rely on a hotel dryer with a broken handle . :-/The few times that I did use it, it did not do much to my hair, I blow dry and usually smooth out with an iron or- as I was hoping- this brush. The Porta did not smooth my hair very well, it was still frizzy, but I was able to get a slight curl in the ends.Just really disappointed with this experience. I saw another review that stated their Porta broke after 6 uses which mirrors my experience with this product.

I bought this because I was tired of my flat iron catching a few strands of my hair and pulling them out. I did my research on this first and watched a lot of reviews before deciding to purchase it. I was not disappointed; this is by far the best straightener I have ever owned.Pros:- never hot to the touch, no more accidentally burning myself on the irons!- doesn't pull out hair- small, compact design. easy for travel and doesn't take up a ton of space in the drawer- good selection of heat settingsCons:- it smelled funny the first time I turned it on, but it disappeared quickly- it takes a bit to heat up- the little USB-C travel adapter is easy to loseAll in all, buy this, you won't be disappointed. It makes my hair sleek and shiny, with no frizz. Styling takes me 10 minutes instead of 30 now, too ( I have shoulder-length hair). I have fine hair, so I turned the heat down a little, and it was perfect. I will get rid of all of my other styling tools because this is all I need. It gives you so much flexibility to choose how you want to style because it's as easy to use as a regular brush. 10/10.

It straightens and waves better than I expected once you get the hang of it. Used it on a sailing trip where I couldn’t plug in a hair dryer or flat iron. The drawback is battery life. Great for touch ups around my face, but not enough battery to do my whole head. I have pretty fine and somewhat fragile hair and did not noice any damage from using it.

Bought this as a Mothers Day gift for my wife and since it came in early, she was excited to use it right away. Well, it worked the first use, but she had issues with the product not holding heat during the second and third use. The final straw was her using it yesterday and the brush itself wasn't getting hot enough, but the handle part got warmer than the brush. She left it alone for a bit and tried to charge it again. That afternoon she wanted to touch up her hair since she finished her earlier that day with the other TYMO product. Well after 5 minutes of use and fully charged, the portable tymo wouldn't stay on. Now we have to return it and buy again because replacing it wasn't an option and we bought it during a special so now we have to pay more for it.

I have a full size corded brush styler (from another brand) that I like to use to help smooth out my hair and while this device is not as strong as that one, even at the highest settings, it still works surprisingly well. I have noticed I have been reaching for this instead of my plugged type. The smaller size is convenient and easy to use. I have tried a number of cheaper portable stylers and this is by far the best one I have tried.I like that the brush never feels overheated, it holds heat without having a charging cord attached, and I love the extra safety lock plug for greater security. The bag is also perfect fit for the device and easy to take around. The device feels sturdy, not too light, and not too heavy. I was able to take it in the car with me, style my hair, and set it on my lap and then in the case to cool without any burns or issues. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. I think it's perfect for travel and times on the go.

After owning this cute TYMO Porta for 6 months, I just stopped working. White light turns on, blinks 3 times and shuts down itself. It doesn't even get warm. We used it like once or twice a week, and it's already broken. It was a great item when working, but I wouldn't recommend if it breaks so easily.
