Great dye I have dark hair and it showed without having to bleach my hair.my friends loved the color and even when it fades there are still areas where you can see the color. Live thus dye will definitely buy again.

My 9 year old wanted some color added to her hair before starting 4th grade and I didn’t want to go through lightning her hair just to apply a semi/demi permanent hair color which would probably wash out or fade into an “unknown” color. lol. So I decided to give this hair color a try since it was made for dark hair and it was permanent. Let me just say, that it turned out WAY better than I expected! It has been a little over a month, and the color is just as vibrant as it was when we did it! AND she LOVES it! We used the vivid violet and it was wonderful.

The color is amazing however, this color stains everything in its path! I dyed my hair in May 2025 and now in August, when I wash my hair the water still runs pink! If you hair is still wet when going to sleep, it will be all over your pillows. I hope this review is helpful.

I am so obsessed with how this color turned out. Im giving 5/5 because I am super happy with it, but realistically, if you were going for the color in the product photos, it’s not close.However, this is the ginger of my dreams that I thought I’d have to use bleach for and possibly go to a salon.The smell isn’t as strong as other dyes I’ve used in the past, and it didn’t stain my hands too bad either (I am too lazy to wear gloves). Like sometimes the smell lingers kinda strong for a while even after washing, rinsing and styling, but so far this has a pretty subtle smell, and what is there doesn’t smell chemically at all, just nice clean fresh smell.I’d say that it came out pretty even too, no blotches or anything, and my hair doesn’t feel any drier than it would with any other dye either, so no complaints there.I bought the Wella 30 cream developer too, just to be safe and get the absolute intended color. Left it in for 35 minutes.My hair color is naturally a level 5, and this dye lightened it quite a bit. Much more than I expected, could be because of my hair texture and porosity, but I’m not mad at all.I’ll be switch from HiColors to this from now on, I couldn’t be happier with the color and quality, despite it not being what was advertised. In the first pic I mixed 30 volume developer with Magenta and purple orchidThe second picture was Magenta and 30 developer on top of gray hair.This brand works phenomenal for full gray coverage! Highly recommend it! My hair doesn’t feel dry or brittle and I get compliments everywhere I go from ppl I have never met.

Use ruby red and my hair is dark ! My roots are light brown/grey and it turned the top of my head orange and I have to work the next day before I can fix this mess. My hair was a very dark auburn and it’s like it bleached it orange ! Do not get this product! Doesn’t come off skin like a cheap box color does you. Professional products always wipe right off. So now my ears and face is orange also

Worked a charm. Don’t be alarmed by the images of the product that say it has no pigment. Like with other hair dyes it takes a but to oxidize. Mine was a touch chunky at first but nothing some stirring didn’t fix. Viva Violet was my color and it is VIOLET. It’s a lovely dark color. Be sure to wipe spills quickly. It will not hesitate to stain anything that looks at it funny.

The color is so beautiful. It is very strong. It lasts long it paints fast your hair smells great love it love it love it.
