Q: Does it have adjustable temperature?

No! However the default temperature make the curl hold perfectly and doesn't fry hair. Don't forget to use heat protection before :)

Q: Does this work well with thick hair? I find with my hair straightener I need to adjust the heat to a high temperature so the 'on/off' is concerning.

It gets very hot but yes, I believe it would. I have medium thick hair and it works very well for me and heats up pretty quick. If your wondering if its going to hold or not for me the curls stay all day but its different for everyone.
