Pettibon System Portable Cervical Neck Traction Over Door Device for Neck Pain Relief, Physical Therapy, and Spinal Decompression

It actually works
Once this is setup, it is very easy to use. This device uses body weight to provide traction; meaning, you can (should you want to) traction the *$&# out of your neck. One should be very careful using this. Start with light traction and find your own "sweet spot" that eliminates pain. You'll likely feel goofy using this at first. You squat, looking face-to-face with a door. But as you find your own sweet spot, there's no denying the relief your neck will get from this. People fork over co-pays to use neck traction devices at physical therapy offices all over the world. This thing does it in the privacy of your home for pennies on the dollar. I find it works best fresh out of the shower after I wash my face. Oils on your forehead can cause the top bar to slide. After I wash my face the bar 'grips' much better. If you're suffering from neck problems this thing is must-have.

Excellent Product
I’ve used this product for the past seven years and it has served me well. I’m mid 60’s and 6’4” with poor posture. This device allows we to stretch my neck, improve posture and truly stand more upright. You need to be cautious as your body weight is the leverage you use to apply the pressure, but it does an excellent job, daily, if executed slowly as directed. I have it hanging on the door that leads my garage to remind me to get a good stretch, before heading out for the day.

Snap crackle pop
It works, hard to get it set up correctly to work, and took a while to relax enough at first, now it works pretty quick

Great Product, Ridiculous Price!
**Yes, I misspelled Pettibon in my pics, oops.**I bought this traction device to replace my previous one that had broken (after many years of use and cost me $25 from my chiropractor). The Pettibon price, $79, gave me pause, but it was the only device that even remotely resembled mine. I just bought it anyway because my neck was killing me. As you can see in my pics, the two are virtually identical. This type of traction device is the only one that has worked for me. I do not advise using it under the chin though, unless you want to kill your teeth. Overall, I really do like it, but $79 is a total ripoff for a little rope, foam, and pvc pipe. So, if you can spare the cash, buy it. If I was more handy, I'd find a way to make my own. Oh, and the Pettibon "over-the-door" hanger thing is terrible too. The metal hook in the pic came with my original one.

Awesome decompression tool
I give a word of caution with this device: I had been seeing a chiropractor regularly that used this device in his office. I began using it there with guidance and found it to be a tremendous tool for cervical neck pain relief caused by compressed vertebrae. Not understanding the correct use of this may cause discomfort. Used properly, for the right reason; you won't want to live without it. Once I found out I could purchase one for home use, I knew I had to have it. Having it available whenever the need arrises is great.

Cervical traction device
Easy to use and the very same as what they use in my chiropractor’s office. Sturdy! Used heavy duty hammock locks to connect the rope from the traction device.
