How do i fold the chair?

You need to detach the front of the arms from the supports (just pull hard). Then it folds up easily.

Will this chair sink in the sand at the beach?

I've never used the chair at the beach...but I don't think it would. The pads on the leg bottoms are bigger than other chairs. I love this chair, I have a bad back and I don't have to struggle to get in and out of it.
