Outstanding Ultrasonic Cleaner! Dual-Transducers make a huge difference.
I received this Kendal 220w ultrasonic cleaner today and so far am VERY pleased with it. I had previously owned the large ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight (sold under various brands on amazon as well) for the past 3 years, and while it was a great buy for how much it cost... it's single transducer didn't have the cleaning power for tough jobs like ammo brass because it's timer maxed out at 480 seconds and needed a lot of cycles. There is a test people do on youtube where they take a piece of aluminum foil and place it in an ultrasonic cleaner for 1 minute and the amount of perforation made by this Kendal unit required the HF model to run 5-6 minutes. The build quality of this Kendal ultrasonic cleaner is excellent. It's made completely of stainless steel including the parts basket and the toggle main power switch on the rear as well as both timer and temperature knobs have a good solid feel to them. I almost bought Kendal 230 watt version with the digital display but from my experience, more electronics = more things to break. Analog controls "should" last longer. So far i've tested it by cleaning some jewelry, sunglasses, and an Aspire Atlantis e-cig atomizer and in only a couple minutes everything was cleaned perfectly with just a bit of liquid dish soap added. In the morning i'm going to clean an assortment of .223 rem, .270 win, and 38-40 win brass in a solution of 4 cups water, 1 cup white vinegar, with a tablespoon each of salt and liquid dish soap and see how well it rips through much more difficult cleaning jobs. I'll take a few photos and post them up when it's done.My only complaint about this ultrasonic cleaner is it's noisy, but what would you expect from something that cleans using sound? I tested it in my kitchen without thinking and you should have seen how fast both my Brittany's (dogs) bolted for the upstairs bedrooms! Humans can't hear the majority of the sound produced by an Ultrasonic cleaner running at 42khz since our hearing maxes out at around 20khz, while dogs/cats can hear sound all the way up to 50-60khz. So don't run it around your pets.-----UPDATE: April 22nd, 2019-----Bad news. Today I was using the Ultrasonic Cleaner and noticed liquid on the bench below it. At first i thought i had just spilled something so i wiped it up but the puddle returned. I turned it off, drained it, and was surprised to see some small pin holes in the bottom of the tank. While i'm a bit disappointed, I did use the heck out of this thing over the past 4 years. And quite a few times using solutions probably not approved for use. I'm about to order a stainless steel steam pan which has the same dimensions and attempt to do a transducer transplant. It should work and i've already removed the transducers from the tank on the leaky one. I'm still giving this cleaner 5 stars because it did a great job and the tank failure was likely my own fault. I'm not the kind of person to give a crap rating like so many clowns on here do when it was they who were the cause of the problem.-----Update May 5th 2019-----So i decided to fix the ultrasonic cleaner. The most difficult part was removing the two transducers from the bottom of the tank because not only are they stuck on there with a type of epoxy, but there is also a stainless threaded stud that's welded to the bottom that the transducer is screwed onto right after the epoxy was applied, making it have an extremely good bond. I used an angle grinder from the inside of the tank so i wouldn't harm the transducer and after some careful grinding and a bit of acetone to weaken the epoxy, off they came. Finding a replacement tank was easy. This cleaner uses a standard 25-26 gauge stainless steel steam table pan like you find in every restaurant on earth. A 1/4 size pan that is 4" deep is a perfect fit. I went with the "Anti-jam" version which has a lip like the cleaners original pan which makes it so they dont get stuck together when stacked. The transducers were attached using original JB Weld Epoxy, the 3900psi stuff with a long dry time. I balanced about 35lbs of weight on the transducers so they'd squeeze out as much of the epoxy as possible to make the best bond. After two days of curing, my cleaner is back in action. I ran four 30 minute cycles today and it didn't fall apart so all is well. Total repair cost: $24.00.

Well built
This is a good replacement for the 6 liter model that is currently unavailable. Only drawback is lack of a drain valve and you have to dump it in the sink.

Extremely well made - Pleased!
I'm very happy with my purchase of the ultrasonic cleaner; and I want to dress a few concerns as well with Kendal brand ultrasonic cleaners by Shining Image.-Packaging-Upon delivery, I was very impressed with the packaging. The ultrasonic cleaner packaged with 3 boxes and a styrofoam form holding the ultrasonic cleaner securely in the smallest box. No damage was noted on arrival, and all of the accessories (Basket, outlet plug, and instructions of course) were secured inside of the machine with bubble wrap and zip ties. I would give packaging a 5/5.-Setup-I'm very impressed with getting the machine up and running and also the improvements that Shining Image implemented on their ultrasonic cleaners, which I will get to later on in the review. After setting up the machine and reading the instruction manual, I filled the tank up to around the maximum mark (Which is an indent ring around inside of the tub) and turned the temperature setting to 30 degrees Celsius to test the heating element. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the water's temperature over the span of 5 minutes was 27.5 degrees Celsius - this ultrasonic cleaner has a good heating element. Overall, setup was very easy and straightforward. 9.5/10.-The A.F. Test-After checking the heating element out to make sure it functions as it should, I conducted the Aluminum Foil test to check the cleaning capability of the ultrasonic cleaner itself. I set the timer for 5 minutes and let the foil become submerged into the water. After 5 minutes elapsed, the ultrasonic cleaner put many pin-point holes in the aluminum foil and surpassed my expectations. Later, I ran a pair of older glasses through the machine and watched as waves of who-knows-what come out of the crevices between the lenses and the frames. It took around 15 minutes of ultrasonic cleaning with the temperature set at 35 degrees Celsius. I used plain tap water and had excellent results.-Improvements-As I was reading multiple reviews of the Kendal branded ultrasonic cleaners, I found that many people complained about the lack of an on/off switch on the machines. Shining Image has addressed this issue and added a nice rocker switch on the back of the ultrasonic cleaner to turn the unit completely off when not in use. Another complaint was the rattling noise of the lid when the ultrasonic cleaner was running, which was caused by the lid coming into direct contact with the tub. I was happy to find on this unit that there were rubber plates underneath the lid that sit against the top of the tub, which eliminates the noise completely. It's very pleasing to watch a company actively work and listen to their customers suggestions to improve their product. 10/10-Suggestions-I would make two (very minor changes) to this machine:1. Reinforce the back panel of the machine - as I pull on the plug on the back to disconnect the machine to empty the dirty solution, I can visibly see the stainless steel flex slightly outwards as I remove the plug. It rather seems a bit loose and makes me nervous; as removing the plug takes a bit of force because it is snug.2. Include how to operate the control timer in the instruction manual - I originally wasn't sure which way to twist the timer to get to the manual "On" position. It takes a little bit of force to move the timer backwards from the "Off" position, and I was worried I would break something.Overall, I am very pleased with this machine. It boasts nice cleaning power and a fast heating element. The dual transducers really assist this machine's cleaning performance, and I'm very happy with my purchase from the beginning to the present. I'll post updates in the future to determine the reliability of this machine.

so the 25 minute timer is kind of useless in this case
I use it for making liposomal vitamin C. Works so far and has a powerful transducer, but heats up the mixture a bit, so the 25 minute timer is kind of useless in this case. I have to run it in 5 minute intervals to avoid heating my Vit C. I bought this because it has knobs instead of electronic touch buttons that are cheaply built. I figured it would be more sturdy in the long run than the $50-100 models. Much easier to pour the mixture out into other containers too, unlike the cheaper rounded designs. This has a heater, which I never use. It also has a detachable power chord and power switch on the back. I can make a decent amount of liquid C - over 32 oz - so no need to make it so often. I tried a cheaper $50 model 1st, but it stopped working after about 2 uses, so I decided to get something better. Still only time will tell.
