They are ok, several had splits in them so we discarded those plates. They are great for cookouts they hold up better than paper and will biodegrade.

Omg, SO much sturdier than any disposable I've ever seen! Super thick! Super eco-friendly from what they're made of to their biodegradability--low, low carbon footprint. They're actually very attractive and classy. You can use them in the microwave too! I bought these because I like using renewable things and keeping plastic and styrofoam out of the landfill. I wanted them for any time that I don't want to dirty my regular dishes like for pizza or kids and for taking to picnics, BBQs, outdoor activities. People with kids would love these--MUCH less likely that they would spill anything with these. The beauty of using these is that they are from a renewable resource (naturally fallen palm branches) and they are more biodegradable than styrofoam, plastic or coated paper alternatives. I'm not sure if I would wash and reuse these since they're somewhat porous, but I think they might be ok for that, at least for a few washings. I think it said they can go in the dishwasher. It would be great if these also came in a big zipper bag or three zipper bags so you could use a few at a time and keep the rest of them bug/dust free for the next time you want to use them. I just used my own for the remaining pieces that didn't get used. The forks have short tines so can sometimes be used like a spoon. These are my new go-to disposable plates now. SO worth the money--in carpet stain savings and less clean-up alone! I highly recommend! You won't be disappointed! They really are great plates.
