Quality camera with a competitive price.

To find a camera with two screens at this price and quality is excellent . The controls take a bit of getting used to as there is no front button so it uses one less button to some other cameras , just the top button and side two buttons to control it , just needs a bit of practice first .

The camera and accessories are well packed and look the part but I wish that I'd bought a different one. I realise that this is a budget camera but I thought it would be of similar quality as older ones.I have three of the originals, used as dashcam in my car, on my push bike and on motorbike. This one is not easy to access menus or operate, it loses the date when changing the battery even if connected by usb which on this unit is a pain to reset.It doesn't fit any normal housings and my spare batteries won't fit without forcing them in.The picture quality isn't good and certainly not as good as the previous model. It is now relegated to the box that it came in.Very disappointed.

I had the older SJ4000 WiFi cam and that has better image quality than this - which is a remarkable disappointment indeed. I use it solely for a dashcam by setting it into car mode and I have a USB cable going into this via my cigarette lighter power socket.This new one is IMO is a proper a budget action camera, I would rate this a tier down from the older original SJ4000 wifi. There are some markable improvements such as build quality has drastically improved, it has a larger rear screen, the front screen is useful if you like doing selfie shots. Whilst the menu system has been updated, it's not as intuitive as the old one.My biggest disappointment is the image quality and also, the lack of image stabilisation! But to be frank, I'm sorely disappointed that this newer & latest SJ4000 Wifi camera is inferior to it's predecessor in terms of video quality. Also I’m not sure the 30fps acclaimed is actually 30fps – the footage seems jittery and jarring. The older SJ4000 I have, at 30fps, feels more fluid. It’s like this thing is recording at 15ps and the other 15fps is interpolated to get 30fps.Pros: It’s cheap, light, includes 2 batteries & memory card, and a bunch of accessories to get you started.Cons: not as good as the original (old) SJ4000 WiFi in terms of video quality (both definition/smoothness).Edit: Just to add the microphone on this camera is awful - therefor I have reduced the rating 2 stars as my review was primarily focused on the visual quality. I am going to throw this camera into the bin and get a better quality camera. Huge dissapointment.

Bought as a gift for my snowboarding son. It did everything he wanted (and more). Very sturdy and no issues with having a few knocks. Produced good quality video.

Very pleased with this little camera and looking forward to taking some shots underwater on my next holiday 🙂
